It was 38 million last year; i know that for a fact.
I’s probably less now because some of the big players have gone.
I show enough emotion, but not petulance.I support my team. I don’t slag them off at every opportunity and demand my money back.
My emotions for this team go a long way back and I will not jump ship just because things aren’t going my way.
Think about these remarks when we are winning again.
It’s no good posting sensible things like that on here, people dont want to hear it.
What your meant to be doing is ranting and raving against the club, the manager and anyone else involved.
Take a look at the company accounts.
How many football clubs make money?
Still, ignore the fact and keep ranting. Its proving your a better fan than me anyway.
So you expect him to subsidise the club and then give you answers as to what’s going on whilst he’s risked millions on us and you’ve bought a couple of season tickets?
Only in a football fan could someone be so irrational
Sorry but I’m not sure your calculations are right. I saw an interview with DW and he said that the prem had that much money they and us should be letting fans in for free? We made 35 mill from T.V. alone last year and sold at least 18 mill worth of players thats 53 mill without all the other money you get from being in the Prem.
It does not cost that much to run Wigan Athletic we have a tiny squad and a small set up so were does 53 mill or more go? He has never spent big money on players he got lucky with good managers who got him Premier League football on a tiny budget. And with his policy of selling our fan base instead of growing will get smaller. I’ve always been proud to follow the Tics even when we were rubbish but because of DW we are becoming a laughing stock an
40 million of it goes on Wages every year.
Do you think the players play for nothing?
“Fu ck off Martinez your out of your depth”
“Get back to Chelsea sinclair your sh i t”Just 2 of the classics i heard last night.
Here we go again nothing, like it or not you have to accept where we stand in the big picture. We have to find a balance. We have spent since January not far off 20 million at a guess. Yes we have made more than that from player sales but we also have a debt of 60 million to service.
We have the lowest gates in the league, the cheapest prices yet people want us to lash millions on players all the time?
Maybe we could do what Portsmouth have done? Newcastle? Or even worse Leeds?
Moan and groan all you want but try and be realistic about it.
3 games into the season and people are reacting like this.
Bog difference, we wasn’t facing Everton, West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal for the next 4 games. Also the players were not replacements
for the millions of pounds worth of talent we had just sold. Tell me, when will you become worried, or does the future of our club not concern you?As is said in pre season i’ll see what the score is after 12/14 games. If we get a point on Sunday 4 points from the start we have had won’t be a bad return.
What expectations from Villa, Wolves, United and Everton did you have?
We are Wigan, not Arsenal. We are always going to be up against it.
As for being worried about the future, posting endless drivel on here after a couple of games is hardly the way forward is its?
One question i’d like an answer to in all this “fook off Whelan” stuff is this;
Who on earth is going to take us over?
yeah…
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
5-0 at Wrexham in an autoglass trophy game is better than last night?
I give up; you win. You are the biggest fan, cos your more worried than me.
Reserves lost in a League Cup game at Blackpool, its not the end of the world is it?
What are we having here? A competition to see who can get carried away the most ?
Take it you never went last night then.
Yep, i did thanks.
I wasn’t keen on what i say but its early days.
In the early days of the Jewell reign we lost 5-0 at Wrexham (i went to that too, did you??) but he was given time and it didnt turn out to bad in the end really???

I think we need a sense of perspective on the field here.
its early days, we have played 3 league games.
Dave…because he will be in the morning with another name!!!!!!!!!!
Do you not have anything better to do?
As a rule yes, but i’ve a quiet half hour at work at the moment and going back years a ding dong with Davefromskem on here has always been enjoyable because he bites so easy.
Anything else you’d like to ask?
Yes thanks, i was there back then Dave; i was 13 in 1995 mind so i wasn’t drinking 20 pints pre match and 20 after like you probably are about to tell me you did????
