Indeed Griff , but would you ever think about demanding a refund?
Why do you think that Mr Mon ?
The 9-1 was seen as a one off at the time , the refunds were given as a PR stunt as i said previously , if they had known that the the big defeats would continue then they might have thought again about setting a precident.
Yes we did get tonked 8-0 but i still cant see any team clicking like Spurs did that day , everything Defoe hit found the net.
As for ticket refunds i agree that no-one should even think about it , as a supporter ( are fans (fanatics ) and supporters two different things ? ) of WAFC the only thing to think about is the growth and success of the club.
That said , i cant think of a worse run of results in the whole history of the club , i have no doubt this period will sort out the men from the boys in our fanbase.
The 9-1 was a unique event , something that i dont envisage will ever happen again , the refund was probably more of a PR stunt than anything else.
I for one buy a season ticket with full knowledge that during the course of a season things will go wrong , admitidly , not on the scale that we have at the moment and for that reason would never shout for a ticket refund.
Yes , the current side we have are doing nothing to encourage the growth of the club , in fact i would go as far to say that Roberto and his team are undoing all the good work started by Paul Jewell and Steve Bruce to a level that will be below PJ`s starting point.
What suprises me most in this is Dave Whelans seemingly acceptance of all what is happening to the club that he has personally spent a small fortune on.
Depends really on how far you want to go back , if we take the period from when Dave Whelan took over , i would say then that we have had quite a good run of success , that is the trouble with the Whelan era fans , they have never experienced hard times , never had to dig in and actually support their team through bad patches.
In a nutshell , Whelan era fans dont know HOW to support their team.
LMB is your life so empty and dull that you have to resort to this sort of attention seeking.
This thread has actually highlighted the fact that you are deliberatly trying to dislike and disagree with anything the club do just to get the replys that you are getting , i suppose it substitutes for a real girlfriend in vying for your attentions.
Get a grip.
Nothing in there that says to me deluded….!!
“Whether you like it or not, our manager is shyte”
Wrong , his ideas are good , he needs someone to guide him as to how to get the best out of his players and to mould him into adapting his formations to suit games , remember he has never managed at this level before.
Being a bit naive doesnt make him shyte .
But then again sweeping statements are all the rage to some people.
Yes he can , we play out best football on a good pitch , so although we didnt play well we would have played better on a pitch more suitable to the style RM is trying to impement.
Stay !!
That said i think it would be a good idea to replace Jones with an experienced PL manager , think Curbishly would take a number 2 role?
Hasnt Scharner been saying this for years , he never goes anywhere…that said its disrespectful in the extreme to Wigan Athletic and its fans , players should learn to keep their big gobs shut and their over inflated ego`s in check.
The game against Bolton didnt have much in the way of quality football , the one thing that was on show was fight , Bolton are a big aggressive side and you have to be tough to match them , i thought we showed loads of fight on Wednesday , something which is improving under Martinez.
In the first half of the season we would have rolled over against Bolton and lost the game.
Now all we have to do is combine fight with quality !!! because we have shown both this season ( not at the same time i might add ) but when it does come together you get results ..Chelsea , Villa…And this is the reason RM needs time to gel his players with his style.
Really???
