I’d agree with the last post (although I only stayed for 58 mins. You can see that Cousins has played at this level for a while and I saw that in Shinnie during September. They should be our midfield two for me, let them play together for a few games and see how they go – they are both far better than Power and Naylor…
First time I’ve left a match before an hour of play. I’m normally a glass half-full type but I’m with Mr B here! If we don’t put some of the players out of the side who are not good enough (naming no names) we are destined to go straight back down!

Ah, never mind – there really is no point posting on any of your threads, is there? I was questioning your “1 question shoot out” remark and trying to show that, in my opinion, come 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon we will be promoted to the Championship! That, based on the last couple of years, is a remarkable achievement, and the one constant through that whole time has been LR and his commitment to getting this club back where it belongs!
I disagree with your comments about his abilities as a manager, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so I would never sink to the kind of language that you seem to use in your posts to describe anyone who dares to differ.
Come what may, I will be celebrating on Saturday afternoon, when WAFC are rightly restored to the place we were a couple of years ago! I hope you managed to get a ticket for the game and will be there to give LR a heartfelt pat on the back when he has pulled off a marvellous feat with his total lack of managerial skills!
I don’t see Saturday as a “1 question shoot-out”! The table shows that we are almost certainly guaranteed promotion on Saturday.
I’ve never been bothered whether we win this league or not as long as we get automatic promotion. As long as we don’t lose heavily on Saturday, we are as good as in the Championship already.
Looking at the table as it stands after last night’s defeat, if we lose on Saturday by one goal, MK Dons have to beat a Plymouth side (who need to win to guarantee a play-off place) by SIX goals! And even if we lose, if we scored at Shrewsbury, then the number of goals that MK Dons would have to score to be promoted would also increase, because currently we have six more goals than them in the for column as well!
So, although things are never over until “the fat lady sings”, statistically I’m not sure that we would fall out of the automatic places – that would require one heck of a collapse on our part!
LR’s job as a manager was to get the best out of these players – I think whether we agree or disagree on his acumen as a manager, we cannot argue the fact that with one game left, we do have one foot over the line and I can’t see that we will denied promotion by 2.30 on Saturday afternoon!!!
