Griff, he scored a few for Blackpool at this level last season and my Blackpool mates were quite impressed with him. Apparently had a knack for getting on the end of stuff in the box – so I think I’d like to see him given a chance. He’s got loads more pace than our other front men, but then again I suppose that’s not too hard!
At least if we got Jewell back our manager would be a bit tubbier than our centre forward – LOL :ohmy:

We spent all of last season taking short corners and ending up with the ball back with our own goalkeeper (slight exaggeration I know) so why when 2-0 not put it in the box – you never know we may have got the better of Vidic once.

It’s always easy to blame the big bad football club. I’ve heard that the bloke who owned it has gone through several companies with different shareholders before he ran out of ways of re-inventing the club and left it pretty broke! Some wonder he needed to sell and there wasn’t enough money left to maintain the place!
It’s interesting that people are concerned about two things – 1 year rolling contract and players leaving!
In answer to the first concern Roberto was on a one year rolling contract (hence the compensation claim from Everton) – so Coyle is no different in that respect.
As for the second, only tweet I’ve seen so far is from James McArthur who is very positive about the appointment!
Let’s wait and see what happens shall we? We might all be in for a surprise!

I’m not sure about that! We have dispatched lower league teams with a certain style in this competition. I suppose it depends on whether Roberto sticks with his rotation ideas or not for the semi?
I think you’re being a little harsh on a player who was “double-teamed” and didn’t have much support form those around him who played a long ball to him but then never offered anything to help him after playing the ball to him.
I think we’re being a bit harsh on Palacios because, from memory, he never asked to leave Wigan. Wasn’t it the fact that Tottenham offered us stupid money for him that we couldn’t turn down the reason that he left? I don’t remember him asking for a transfer and the move seemed to hack off a certain Mr Bruce who left us that same summer?
