I’ve been down there all week working at The N.E.C.

Afraid i’ve got to pick and choose my away games due to financial restrictions (mortgage etc!), so being sick of the place has pushed me towards Noblot away instead.

Maynor Figueora playing at left back for Wigan Athletic ;)

You never know, if the muppets get their own way and Bob gets sacked we might see Paul Jewell back as manager.

The dream of bringing Windass out of retirement and finally linking him up with Robbie Blake might finally come true for P.J.

May well be a step up from a certain striker on our books at the moment though (naming no names!) ;)

I’ll give AppleyBridgeLatic an hour (work permitting) to come on and state that Maynor will never be anywhere near close enough to being in position to allow him to comply with this command

Ha ha, love it Griff!! You know me so well :D

I take every game as it comes though, which basically means i’m more concerned about who my mate Figs will be attempting to mark tomorrow evening.
I’ve heard Bolton hane got a half decent right winger.

If this is true, i’ll have a pint on us conceding a goal from OUR left side.
Or at least 3/4 crosses coming in simply because he isn’t close enough to their winger.

Ps. Wasn’t gonna bite, but fair play, you got me

I do apologise fella, he just really winds me up. If you hadn’t already noticed!!

Just wish we’d have taken whatever Sunderland had offered and gone for Nicky Shorey.
Ok, he can’t score from his own half but he can defend.

Well smart arses if you was there last night, which I presume you were, you will know exactly what I meant.

    You set of pedantic know-it-alls!!

Tell me i’m incorrect about our “left back”. He simply can’t defend, end of story.

I expect better from you Arky ;)

And tonight Ladies and Gents was goal number 16 courtesy of yet another cross from the left hand side due to our friend Mr Figueora not being able to pick up his man and cut out a cross!!

    I rest my case!!!!

We actually have the makings of a decent Premier League team, unfortunately the Swansea old boys keep getting the nod, and we don’t have a left back.

Hmmmm, newsnow eh?? Says everything really!!

I stand by everything I say about him, and i’d love to know how many goals he’s been responsible for this season due to his lack of positional awareness.

I’ll report back here after the seasons highlights dvd comes out and i’ve studied it!!

    I’ll guess at 15 goals.

Yeah Davie. . . . . What about peanut huggers, chubsters, thugs etc etc???

    Sort yourself out fella ;)

    Kirkland

Boyce Bramble Caldwell Pollitt / Whelan

    Zog Diame McCarthy Moses

    Hugo Moreno

No I don’t like Fig before you ask!! At fault for goals in last 3 games YET AGAIN!!!

He can not defend / mark. Useless!!!

Before you start, just watch his marking again tonight.

And speaking of the egg chasers. . . . .

What the f00k has happened to the pitch?? Perhaps the grass is just frickened of 26 over weight “athletes” stomping around on it next week and decided to do one!!

Seriously though, it looked ok last Saturday. Tonight it favvered a ploughed field.

    Any theories??

There’ll be around 5,000 Everton fans in the North stand.
This was the amount they have been allocated. ;)

Now if you was attempting to be clever and really meant the South stand, I suggest you try again!

in reply to: Figueroa: Song from the East Stand #20504

It’ll take more than ES2 to gee this lad up a bit!!

But i’m afraid Fig just winds me up more than any other player I can remember in a Latics shirt (well, maybe Neil Morton as well!!)

I seem to spend 90 minutes yelling at him to mark his man. He’s constantly 15 – 20 yards away and you just don’t get away with it in the Premier League.

I’ve stated on here in the past about the amount of goals conceded down the left side because of Figs’ lack of positional sense, it’s shocking!

Everyone remembers his wonder strike at Stoke, but 2 minutes later he loses his marker (again) and they score. Nobody remembers this because of “that goal”

Get Kevin Sharp, Allen Tankard or Gavin Johnson back. Proper defensive left backs!!

The last bit was a joke by the way!!!! I meant Greg Strong ;)
