Whelan must realise that for us to have a realistic chance of bouncing back up we need to retain all of these players.

Lets see if Baines, Jagielka and Fellainy stick around (unlike Martinez) then we may see if he is the brilliant manager Mr Whelan has always stated. The reason I no longer give a fig about him is that for 4 seasons he has preached his ideas for the direction of the club then as soon as he took us down he,s off. Many of us on here have give him total support and put up with the embarrassing results during his tenure and I feel he has let a lot of people down not trying to take us back. I truly believe it will end in tears for him at Goodison as I simply cannot see how he takes Everton any further than Moyes when the big 5 clubs will all spend big and get stronger. We all saw the reaction from the Everton fans when we beat then in the cup so what will happen when he has his trademark tonking. The Cup win will see him etched in Latics folklore for ever but it tastes less sweet now he has scarpered.Well thats one way to put it.take the praise pal cause many will agree. ;)
