”TACTICALLY NAIVE”
TACTICALLY NONE
Scotland without doubt had a good game tonight held the ball well, brought others into the game and had a couple of half chances. But to bring him off for Gomez was the worst decision that could have been made.We stopped attacking and lost control of midfield. In the end we hung on but should have been safe by this time.
get rid.
What I’ve noticed recently (inparticular Man U away & Hull at home) is that when they give away possession in an attacking position, Latics can have as many as 5 players (centre forward, right sided attacker/winger, left sided attacker/winger, the “in the hole” player & the more attackign central midfielder) making no attempt to get back behind the ball
And its happening time & time again, game after game
So whatever formation Bobby is trying to play doesn’t appear to be working yet he is persisting with it. As i said several months ago, how many times does someone have to stick their hand in a fire before they realise that it burns?so what you are saying is our forwards are not cutting the mustard when we dont have the ball.
Nothing about our season surprises me any more. Let’s just hope this latest embarrassment provokes a reaction for the game against Sunderland.Iam still reeling after that, never felt as bad walking off the ground ever.
did you go,because it takes some healing to get behind the lads after that display.
Moses went for a medical / scan at 1pm at Whiston hospital. There may be another in tomorrow.Well that makes it known to other clubs he is ok at no cost to them, now wait for them to start bidding against us.
How many times have you heard that? How many times has it been proven true?
That statement alone means Scotland should not be in our team. You can afford missing a few chances in lower league, but in this league you can’t.
The lads tried, of that I have no doubt. But how long do you give him? Half a season, the whole season or may be until his contract expires?
Hopefully, Tuesdays game will be his last.was this the same game that rodders spurned chance after chance,oh and the pens he has missed it should be his last game on Tuesday if he is selected.
4 or 5 goals should have been scored today, and not half chances either.Games are not won with close calls that is why strikers who are good at the job cost good money they dont come on the cheap, perhaps this might speed up the finding of one or i fear the worst.
With all the Ruben chat and only 4 days to go till the window shuts, it seems to have gone worryingly quiet on other striker options.
Can we assume that Bob is deliberately keeping quiet to avoid any last minute scuppers…or has he only got one egg in his basket?looks like no one else is coming,i just hope nobody leaves.
AutoWindscreen final 1999, first ever visit to wembley beating Milwall by a late late goal from the understated Paul Rodgers. A grand day out. Worst a few months later losing in the playoffs to Manchester city. And Paul Rodgers wasnt on team photo in programme.
actually i thought noblot played well today, and it was against the gunners.
damded good post old chap.
The regular readers of this board will know i came on here slating the club for the Bolton game being called off.So i have come on here today to say a big well done to the club for getting the game played with most of the games called of in the country.
Just hope its not the same result as last seasons because we are going to get a decent slot on MOTD. :o
OOPS :o
oh i forgot i remember going to northwich vics on a milk float in 75 night match ,now that was a trip :roll:fog fog fog
