You do realise that EVERYONE, to use your earlier sweeping generalisation, on this forum that does KNOW (your capitalisation) me, is now just laughing at you and pitying you for being so wide of the mark.

      Run along.

In Ambrosia, maybe. You sound upset..

Oh my god a cock war !! fight !! fight !! fight !!. Be much easier if you just flopped at dawn.

Who’s Dawn, and would she really be up for it? ;)

Ishmael just has a very severe inferiority complex. It probably stems from him being inferior.

Anyway, I’m bored with him now. even work is more appealing today.
Hey, that’s quite funny…for you. You know, you really do remind me of Keith Waterhouse’s Billy Liar. He lived in a make believe world in his own mind, where in reality, he was just a bored desk clerk for Shadrack and Duxbury. This forum represents your very own Ambrosia. Better go back to work Billy, err I mean Griff.

If I had of wrote that book, I would have written it in proper English
With full stops?
If you can’t finish the sentence…don’t commit the crime! ;)
Lame lad, you know you’re wrong.

And if you only have one sentence, there’s really no need to have a full stop, as its only purpose is to separate one sentence from the next.

            Have a nice day ;)
You took your time, surely you can do better than that? I bet you felt a right muppet didn’t you? me correcting Cockney Latics’ very own answer to Charles Dickens! As you say, lame. A full stop at ALL times as well you Know!
Took my time?? You think I hang around waiting for illiterate morons to post replies?

If my crime is missing a full stop from a one sentence post, then I’ll take that over a complete and utter failure to know the distinction between of/have and wrote/written any day of the week.

            2/10, must try harder.

Cockney Latics’ Charles Dickens? Jealousy is a terrible thing, son.

            Over and out.
The thing is Griff, everyone KNOWS you wait around waiting for replies. In fact, if memory serves me right, (and I think it does) you even admitted it in one of your numerous posts. You being a keyboard warrior, why even only yesterday you even tried to hijack my travel arrangements post. (apologies to Highbury for doing similar) As for jealousy? well, lets just say humour isn’t your strongpoint, you’re no rocket scientist and, as I have already alluded to the fact that you’re certainly no Richard Gere lookalike, you are hardly going to be a hit with the opposite sex. So unless I wanted to play “Sloth” in a Goonies sequel, I am sorry to say that I will never be jealous of you.
Tip:- The quality of being funny.

Having listened to the interview I have to agree, anyone would have thought all semi finals have been played at Wembley in front of 80 odd thousand people.
If memory serves me right I seem to remember Luton and Wimbledon struggling to attract a sell out crowd for an FA cup semi final at White Hart Lane in 1988.

If i remember rightly, Houghton was dropped for that cup game against Chesterfield, (who were playing a division above us and brought a few boys)Chesterfield went 2 goals up before Houghton came off the bench to bag a brace himself.
Surprised to see Cribleys name on the team sheet, I honestly didn’t realise he went back that far! Did Botham not come on as sub in that Scunthorpe match or did I dream it?

Just watched Reading highlights again. Scharner’s first half challenge on the Russian guy was awesome. The determination he showed to get back and get in such a clean challenge was impressive. If the whole team can show that kind fight and effort for the rest of the season we have a very good chance of staying up. I’m guessing the back 3 that started last Saturday will be our first choice for the run in? I’m sure Alcaraz will get a full run in the FA Cup but I’m guessing he will be used as back up in the run in?

I think Gary Neville made a very good point last night (in fairness he’s not a bad analyst) about beausajour for the second goal. He took a chance in closing down Morrsion who then lost the ball in midfield that lead to our second. If Morrison had managed to flick the ball to Kelly as a result of Beausajour committing himself Kelly could have had a free run down the right. If Reading had scored some fingers would have pointed at Beaujasour. Instead we are talking about his ‘pass of the season’. As Neville said these are the small margins in football.

It was a decent pass no more no less but to be calling it the pass of the season !! I see passes like that week in week out on MOTD and the likes !
Decent?? You’re hard pleased. I thought it was a fantastic pass myself.

Err, what did “Holland 1970’s team” win?
I think that getting to two world cup finals is worthy of some merit, is it not?
Mr Brownbill definately stated “won nothing”. Afterall did Arsenal not get to a champions league final?
Yes they did, and not everybody manages that, do they.
That dirty Leeds team did. or it’s equivalent. Forest won 2 years on the bounce, Derby came close, Burnley got to the quarters, not bad for provincial teams.
All of them playing attractive, passing football. Nothing to do with being provincial teams.

Or, as usual, are you just changing this round so that it’s an argument you think you can win?
No need to Griff, any one that can read the title of this thread can see that “Holland 70’s team” contrary to local myth and legend, actually won no “silverware” at all.
Anyone who can read will see the title, but anyone with half a brain will know that the title shouldn’t be taken at face value, or perhaps he really has started a thread to discuss if Wigan can win trophies if they change their playing style.

‘Silverware’ should be read as ‘success’ and ‘All possession’ should be read as ‘a majority of the possession’.
This is the gospel according to St andish is it? Just make it up as you go along?
