Yes we are all pissed off and frustrated, 93 minutes gone and we were out of the bottom 3,one minute later… You know the rest. I have tried to look at the positives recently, Naismith really solid as a centre back, Derby’s goal first we have conceded in over 3 hours play and safety is only 1 point away (21).I know it doesn’t seem much but keep the faith!
Dont be too hard on Cook, they did have Pele & Puscas playing! Half expected Di Stefano to come on as a sub. Seriously though, something has to give, they switched off completely after the penalty and then Naismiths inch perfect pass.
Read this thread as i thought it would be about the little bit of handbags on the canal bridge after the game! Oh well, good win, its been a long time coming. Very disappointed with Charlton.
6 points out of 54 away from home tells its own story. We have 10 games left, forget the away games, reckon we will get max 8 points by hopefully beating Bolton & Millwall and draws with Preston & Brentford. Max 44 points – hope its enough. Whatever happens we need a change at the top.
Just read this, had he been ill? Hadn’t seen him in his usual seat at the end of row Q for a while.
RIP Brian.Couldn’t go as at Manchester Arena seeing ‘Mrs Brown’s boys’ (Xmas present from family so couldn’t say no). Wasn’t the only absentee as there was a bloke wearing a Latics top with ‘Gomez J’ on the back! Checked score regularly but gave up at 0-2. Didn’t believe txt I got on the train telling me that they had won 3-2 with Powell getting an 11 minute hat trick.
couldn’t go today as always have a Aintree trip on National day. Having read all the reports etc it was not the same sort of 3-2 home win like v Arsenal not that many years ago. Club are in a mess, we all know it. We will be in Div 1 next season but my tribe will be getting one more season ticket for next year as Grandson will be coming. His mum was 12 when we first went to the brand new JJB and whatever the future brings we will still be there.
Never nice when someone loses their job but had to be done. Think we have left it too late to rescue the season but you never know.
Must go now, tactics far too negative for the whole season and can’t believe how low the skill level has dropped. This was a must win game and we wouldn’t have scored if still playing now. Saw Skem v Frickley Athletic in a cup game last year and they played better football. Uncle Dave looked quite shocked at the end of the game so hopefully will have a quiet word.
