Its got to be promotion, with the teams left in its hardly likely we would win it anyway
I am hearing that Brian Sabin, well-known to many long time supporters, sadly passed away last night.
RIP Brian.Big Brian a lifelong Latics mon and Lancashire cricket fan always in and about the action any freebies going and Brian was there, still could do with 15,000 more like him.
RIP Brian
http://www.ientcorp.com/attachment/pdf/1513670174J7gmg.pdfA pretty wealthy guy/company it seems.
My big concern is what they will do once they have spent a few quid and we haven’t made it back to the Prem.
Don’t really understand all these balance sheets just how much is he or his company worth in sterling
I’m not professing to be Latics longest fan but I have been watching them since the Lancashire Combination in 1954 making this my 64th continuous season.
I think the strangest thing I can remember was my dad taking me to Darwen one Saturday to find the whole pitch covered in cow pats and the game being postponed Match of the day had to quickly relocate to Ewood Park. Not much point really as there will be nobody left after the final whistle
So very sad to hear this news I remember him celebrating with his medal in 2016
RIP Jaun CarlosVery disappointed.Evans will go, Powell will be sold off cheaply, probably on deadline day at 10.58pm. 2 million to Villa, paid in installments.
2 days after end of deadline, sale of club will go through and we will be minus Evans and Powell, and unable to bring in a replacement even if the new owners make money available.
The Sun reports that the Villans have already had an enquiry turned down by Wigan, and it appears that Powell may be prepared to end any speculation about his future, having reportedly told those close to him that he would open to signing a new contrac

JJB Sports was a huge company and provided employment for many people nationwide and abroad. He also along with Ainscough’s paid for Wigan youth zone.I wish so many of you who have contributed to this would talk football as well as the site is next to dead
Its getting boring now lets just stick to the takeover although there has been some very clever replies
Ian McNeill was such a nice man and I attended the Q&A sessions he gave in the main stand at Springfield Park before they ever became popular. For me who has watched Latics for 60years he is in the top 3 of our greatest ever managers alongside Gordon Milne and Paul Jewell (subjective I know but that’s my opinion)
I really hope he gets the ovation he richly deserves on Saturday.
Rest in Peace Ian
Remember him well I would chat to him outside away grounds before games he even started giving me comps before games which always helped in those days. Deffo think we have a goodun.
Fully agree but realistically will we be able to keep Powell. He is far to good for Div One but if he has to go I would accept no less than 5 million
Ive said it before and I’ll say it again neither Power or Bogle are anywhere near good enough for us if we want to be successful. Power contributes nothing and Bogel’s control is woeful he is always offside and is terribly slow sell them off quick sticks
Looking like Bogle’s On his way
@OmarBogle9
FollowGutted to say I wont be playing on Saturday. Cant say why at the moment
