Evan’s and Morsey are about as boring as you can get. I can only imagine they play to the orders of Cook.
Negative, slow, boring and safe the pair of them. A total lack of creativity both sh1t scared of moving forward or moving the ball forward. Some call it “holding mid” I prefer to call it “fookin useless”.

Like I said, theres lads on a park tomorrow who can do that pass sideways and back.
It clearly highlights the vulnerability of Cook at Championship level.
He’s tried the big lad up front, failed and now trying to play along the floor, again, failed.
What’s next ? He’s like cat on its 9th life, no margin for error.
I honestly don’t know what this fookin board and owners are watching or even if they actually are watching it because you don’t have to work for NASA to see were 5 points behind 20th spot and slowly but surely were drifting to the League One.

Why not simply have a look at the way we played when we went through the league’s with Jewell. True the side lacks the quality we had then even in League One but at least we wouldn’t look like we were sauntering to relegation.
Because it was nearly 20 years ago?
Ok then lets just pass away to league 1 if thats what you want but Im sure you dont. Playing with a winger and two strikers and defenders who defend and dont waste their time and energy running up the wing could surely not be any worse than this 21st century bilge dished out by Cook.
Paul Cook doesn’t have the budget that Jewell had and the same quality of squad. Jewell would have been sacked in his first 6 months if whelan hadnt given him a contract for whatever reason he chose to. Instead he backed him with funds to buy a championship standard squad in league one. Jewell failed in every other job.
Our greatest ever manager who played the most exciting football I can remember in all my years watching Latics. Yes it was a few years ago and sadly most managers favour this five man midfield shit that our clown manager does but hopefully things will change generally in football to a more positive approach.

I think Horc will be on later doing his round up. Like many he left that shambles totally pissed off again and hurting.
I know many fans enjoy the possession passing game but that today was a pass too far.

We played like you would see a warm up or warm down on the training ground.
Sad thing was Bristol were no great shakes either but like it’s been said the set their stall out, waited and then were clinical in how they finished.
But Williams is a defensive midfielder,Dowell isn’t needed, Windass is an attacking midfielder and Lowe is such a terrible waste of money and so out of his depth. Pompey skimmed us there.
Three points thrown away.

Well he started Antonee Robinson last season, Reece obviously, Dujon Sterling this season and the kid last week from Everton. Christian Walton for 2 seasons. As well as MacLeod and Williams this season when fit who are both under 25.

He hasn’t picked Joffy though so he’s an idiot.

None of which or are or were our homegrown players Stu.

Pmsl, you honestly think Cook would play the young lad?, funny that.

You need to pour that Christmas cherry down the pi55er

Why would the Pillock play a youngster from anywhere when he has super stars like Jacobs, Massey,Roberts and equally as average Lowe. FFS he hasn’t half signed some shite.
Come on Royle, do something please.

A youth side full of red hot talent yet there’s a rumour we want to loan a youngster who can not get a place in the side of a rival in our league.
Wake up Royle. Squash these rumours. Sorry he may have to communicate to do that!!

I personally think players need to spot Windass’s runs a little early and get the ball to him Even after just one game Dowell made a comment in his interview about how good Josh is at playing on the defenders shoulders and making those runs.
One split second hesitation from the player on the ball leaves Windass in no-mans land. I’ve been saying it for ages we need a quality player who can preempt those runs rather than wait till Josh has made his move. The likes of Robbie Fowler made a career of playing off the defenders shoulders but was fortunate to have world class midfielders supplying him with ammunition.

Lee Evans playing in the attacking midfield could fit that bill but Dowell may fit the bill.
