He hasn’t sorted brexit out
Bloody rubbish James!
He’ll have to stay at Wigan until he does
Not for long we’re away again tomorrow
Reece hasn’t got the votes from his fellow players because their still changing their underwear from playing against him. A lot totally soil themselves when he comes in for a 50/50 challenge.
Don’t you go upsetting Gavin Massy’s mum, or his dad for that matter, we want to keep the hottest property this side of Reece James.
Do I have to read this though a mirror? It’s a good reflection of our bonkersness
Maybe he’s wearing Billy’s boots
Awesome result!
Fantastic stuff, exciting time ahead, wish I’d gone.
Can’t believe nobody told me I’ve spelt “tales” wrong!
Nob end killed my innocence
Back in 1980 I was a hardened football fan. I’d shed my first tears in defeat, seen monumental comebacks and collapses, cup wins and defeats. Qued until halftime to get in amongst 14k, at home. Good games crap games, big wins and defeats. Been away to places like Halifax and Crewe. I’d seen it all so I thought.
I knew nothing, I was innocent.
1980/81 we had the nobbers in the league cup, a piece of piss for mighty Latics, even after losing the 1st leg we’d easily beat them at home.
So up we rolled dad and me, late again for the 2nd leg and all the turnstiles closed, oops! My dad had and still does have a bit of front and no locked turnstiles were keeping us out, so through the front door we went, through a second door there we were in the players tunnel. Without hesitation we went down the tunnel and dad just casually asked the steward to let us onto the terrace.
No problemo! We were in. Trouble was, that happened just as the nobs took a 2-1 lead.
Latics battered them I think for the rest of the game, McMullen hit the inside of the post but it wouldn’t go in.
Then in the second half my life changed. We got a penalty, this was it, the breakthrough, so I thought.
Then the moment my innocence was lost, as we hit the woodwork and for the first time in my footballing life I felt HATRED! Hatred towards the nobs and their “silky shirts” “Pontins” on their shirts and suntanned players. This hatred lasted many many years as it only can for a football fan.
It wasn’t even their fault as we missed the penalty, it wasn’t even saved, but HATRED it was irrational or not. Hated burns, hatred lives and lasts it has no forgiveness, especially when your 11.My innocence was gone and the nobbers took it! I have been counselled and am sometimes normal, 8 years in the prem and an FA Cup win might have helped as thankfully I hate no more. Perhaps an away win in 83 might have helped, but thats another story!
Latics have spent 6 seasons in the championship when this one ends which is nothing compared to most of the other clubs. We know nothing about the championship, Jon Snow knows more about the championship than we do.
So how the hell people can go ranting “its not good enough” “we’ve served up shite” and so on is beyond me.
If Cookie had a budget of millions like Coyle and Rosler then fair enough, but he didn’t. We signed Clarke, Fox and Olsson because they cost nowt not for their youthfulness and they did the job.
We won’t have much to spend next season either but if we stick together and bring on the kids we could be some team on the quiet.Up the Cooking Tics!
That 5-2 was utopia, and we really took the piss about sending them down. I’ll never forget them crying at the end. Not long after we were lifting the Freight Rover Trophy at Wembley, a brilliant team once they found their feet.
I didn’t go to the 3-0 win but I cello taped the match report to my managers desk as he was a nob end season ticket holder!
I’d be very surprised if we didn’t see a couple on the bench on Saturday, weather they get on though would depend on how the games going. Birmingham might want to blood some of their own too.
In Cookie we trust, until he crumbles, then we’ll eat him alive!
I actually think we’ve played some good stuff this season, mostly at home. We’ve also learned to mix it and win ugly, yeah, mostly at home. All this has come with only a tiny amount of financial investment compared to most of the other clubs and constant injuries and suspensions. A lot of the players have noticeably improved their game and physicality, notably Naismith and Robinson so there must be some coaching going on behind the scenes.
A little luck and a bit more steel away from home and we’d be well up the table.
And still grumblingBloody rubbish Wiggin!
Gutted! With Brentford winning we can only finish 16th.
Bloody rubbish Wiggin!
I’d like to add special mentions to Naismith, Byrne, Morsy and Roberts. How good was that Roberts touch in the middle, he’ learnt that from James & Powell!
Has it been sunny as well this weekend? I’ve not noticed as Latics are my only……
Its been good to have the different options, glad its all worked out as I felt we were doomed after Hull.
Gonna enjoy the summer now and roll on next season. -
