There is probably enough money sloshing around in football to make things better, but to be fair its a relatively new conversation. Its good to have Emerson’s, other players, and, our voices and ears to the conversations.
OH HONESTLY!!
I’m just stunned!
This thread is just dead
As a parrot!
Shall we stop before it becomes a pantomime?I’m behind you with this
Oh I don’t know, nuts on the bar, a pool table, live band?
I’ve been in worse pubs than DW!!Bring it on!!
Yep currently we are superb. I was not impressed when he was first appointed, and still a bit sceptical last summer, but Southgate has got England flying.
Now if by some bizarre twist Southgate became Latics manager, how long would he last?
Right! Thats it!
The gloves are coming off now!Because I’ve finished the washing up!
Do we need to be stoned and/or p*ssed when we read this for it to make sense?
It helps. ;)[/quote]
Hehe thanks fellas. Reading it back it does look a bit bonkers, I’m just havin a bit of fun and sharing some daft stories.
I hope its a bit lighter than some of the other threads on here.
Up the Tics
Talk about taking one for the team!
I promise, I’ll behave. My wallet and liver can’t take it anymore!
Understand why it was stopped but that was a long time ago now. Cant see why it cannot be reinstated possibly trial low risk games. They did try this at Chorley’s friendlies a couple of years ago, I don’t know how they sorted the licensing out. It was too much! I kept going back for another and another, I was pissed by halftime and spent a fortune going to a non league friendly!
A week later it was the 14-0 against Chorley’s youth team (who played with a lot of credit), well you can guess how that went! I went to the bar and missed two goals, there wasn’t even a que. I did still manage to kick the ball to Paul Cook before the game, I’ve not lost it Cookie!
So, theres a good reason for not having a bar open during the game.
Does anyone from Wigan watch us or is everyone from Chorley and Preston?I’ve often wondered this myself, especially during the 80s.
I was born in Wigan but really grown up in Chorley and worked in nearly every local town except Wigan so I don’t know what the Wigan mentality really is.All I do know is a lot more Wiganers should be watching us on a match day.
Ho ho ho! That was truly magic, I remember one their fans shouting at us to “shut up” through his tears as we all laughed on the way out.
Our 5th goal was the 100th they’d conceded that season.
GoldThat is a beautiful site, I want one!
Can I ask what ale it was?
