First 15 minutes then after that the same old story. Lost our shape once we lost kvist & best. But personally, i think our days are numbered now.
Best? I presume you mean Clarke.
But there was no need to lose our shape at all, as we had like for like swaps, and either of the subs could have started instead of the ones who did.
It’s not as though we had to suddenly play a teenager goalkeeper in then centre of midfield. The injuries were unfortunate, but they shouldn’t really have made a difference at that point – possibly just later as we ran out of sub options.
I don’t agree that the forced changes didn’t change the course of tonight’s game. Fortune and Clarke were clearly winning the battle with the Charlton central defensive pairing and that allowed us to win more second balls. Replacing Clarke with an “on your shoulder” striker meant that we lost the vital hold up play and gave them more of the ball.
The other problem we had was that Kvist was replaced by a player who’s confidence is rock bottom. Having gifted a goal in his last home game he was lucky not to give them a gift within minutes of coming on and eventually did gift um one just before half time, although to be fair it still wanted finishing.Personally I think that but for the injuries, we may have seen a different score line. Those forced changes did affect the shape of our team although I totally agree, they shouldn’t have. :(
Your positivity knows no bounds! Are you trying to balance the books? ;)
Can trading standards help in me retrieving my £300 and odd quid I wonder? ha ha ha What a waste of money !
McClean at fault for their first, needlessly giving the ball away when we had most of the team pushing right upfield! Ali didn’t exactly cover himself in glory mind getting beat like that! I was queuing at the bar when they got their second but was left wondering how a guy of about 4’6″ got up to head it in? Their 3rd, I was well away and over the bridge! If I was to sum up tonight’s performance in one word it would be ‘Gutless’ !
This thread is an antagonistic one if the truth be known, no need really!
Two studies published in 2013 and 2014 have found that people who are identified as trolls tend to have dark personality traits and show signs of sadism, antisocial behavior, psychopathy, and machiavellianism.Better watch out before I start bring my axe to games, with a ‘Do you know Sammy t-shirt’ on :woohoo:
I have had members of this site who I have never met before commenting on here about the time I leave games! Stalkers hiding in the shadows, too scared to confront me in person! One of them accused me of shouting abuse at Jason Scotland! I have never shouted abuse at a footballer in my life! Maybe they have been watching somebody else? :)
It’s all in the shininess of the shoes don’t forget!
Thorskin!
The guy has got more air miles than a fuckin Emirates pilot, it was nothing for him to get here from SA, the bloke just wanted a ticket even though he emigrated 20 odd years ago! Why should he have got a ticket over locals?
You can’t knock em really can ya! If I had known how fuckin shite the football was going to be at home this season I wouldn’t have bothered buying a season ticket! I am pretty sure a large percentage would with hindsight feel the same ! The new Tesco in Leyland has some windows purposely bricked up. Google it and you will become familiar with a certain term ! Daylight Robbery !
Charlton also 2 up!
Whichever way you look at it, someone somewhere isn’t doing a very good job of finding us a player who knows where the back of the proverbial onion bag is!
It means that watching Wigan is akin to watching paint dry!
Ok. On paper we should probably not be where we are. Games aren’t played on paper though and we are where we are because we deserve to be.We could probably get promoted back to the PL and stay there if we splashed the cash on big wages and transfer fees.
Then when the bottom falls out because we can only spend so much and have re-couped none of the fees then we won’t have a club but at least we can say we tried and DW didn’t steal any of our money.
“Games aren’t played on paper though” Stats may be written on paper but they come from real life events! I reckon you are so acceptable of this debacle because you know deep down that the rugger will benefit from the football’s downfall!
I’ll tell ya what’s a twist, them fuckers takin my money for my season ticket! ha ha ha
Not scoring and now leaking goals by the bucket load with the form just getting worse both home and away.
Club struggling home and away? Oh great its wigan arhletic next and three easy points and a nice leg stretch!
The club has become a complete shambles in my view and sacking rosler now looks like the worst decision made at the club in many a year.
Bottom of the barrel to be reached when we hit league 2 !No, the worst decision was picking Rosler over McClaren!
Sorry fil. Not roslers fault. Whelan should have chosen mclaren over coyle. Had he not have gone for the cheaper option in the first place we might be where derby are now
This was sorted earlier on, my mistake, well partial mistake! McClaren should have been offered the job! I have said all along that Whelan is at fault for this big fucking mess! :(
