But…
If we stay up this season. If we some how make Europe next season. If we manage to keep Bobby in spite of all the summer speculation linking him to real Madrid and barcalona.
Can we for the first time in god knows how long start the season with a secure footing, stability and a squad who know each other.
IF we can do this and keep Kone, Maloney and Di Santo along with midfield macca’s the season can potentially be our finest. Starting the season as FA cup winners.
Just imagine……..
I have never heard of any speculation linking RM with the 2 biggest jobs in Spain if not Europe, well apart from this …….
No clubs in the top 15 would be interested in him if you ask me ! He may put in a shift sometimes and yes chip in with the odd goal or assist but on the whole he is pretty average ! Let him go if you ask me because his petulant tunnel exits are getting banal now !
He wins the ball fully whilst Callum went over the top of the ball. Callum’s tackle was worse ! On the other hand there does appear to be some intentional follow through and so this is also a red card offence !
Who cares what people say I know I don’t ! I actually laugh now when anyone mentions the crowds !
The anti Wigan stuff should be like water off a duck’s back to you all by now ! Let them do the talk whilst we do the walk !
If, God forbid, we lose against Millwall, I will have no sympathy whatsoever for anyone who has chosen not to go the semi because they are saving themselves for Wembley – whatever the reason. Now by starting your comment with the words ‘God Forbid’ I presume you think that we should really beat them and so if we don’t, surely you will be crestfallen and the whole Wembley thing will quickly pale into insignificance, after all nobody remembers a beaten FA Cup semi finalist now do they ! Should we win then our opponents in the final will see us as the big underdogs and so people will sort of half ( If not wholly ) expect to lose ! It isn’t the first time that Wigan have been to Wembley, far from it and so if people have chosen to omit the semi because they think we should get to the final then surely that is their prerogative. I am sure that for many it will be a family thing and so 2 trips to Wembley within a month really would be an expensive sundry ! I myself am going to Texas ( ha ha ha ) the week after and so therefore I will not have enough away day points available to cash in with the Mrs but should we get to the final then I would risk being kicked out, now that has got to be dedication ! Would you go if the Mrs said your clothes will be in a bin liner on the front when you get home !! ;)
Did I mention that I am going to Texas !
Plenty of windows to clean in Texas is it a working hol ?
Purely fun ! :)
Did I mention that I am going to Texas !
He will be used to replace tired legs towards the end of games because he does chase and hassle players but that is all he does really ! Connor Salmon was keen but couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo and Di Santo is not much different in my view ! If it is goals that we need then I would rely on the youngster from Utd over Di Santo !
The difference between Di Santo and Sammon? Di Santo is a Premier League player!
I thought that he struck up a good understanding with Kone. As I said, I think he is competing for a place with Gomez, not Kone. And I think we will be glad to see his skills again before the season ends.
At Fulham; Kieran Richardson produced an excellent piece of defending when he slid in to deny Di Santo in the penalty area after a storming run forward from James McCarthy, before Maloney shot at the Fulham goalkeeper.
Di Santo, with an exquisite piece of skill, then flicked the ball up and volleyed on the turn but his shot went narrowly wide.
However, Wigan grabbed the goal their play deserved when a quickly taken free-kick allowed Di Santo to cut in from the left-wing, run unchallenged to the edge of the penalty area and blast the ball past Schwarzer for his first Premier League goal since 6 October.
Di Santo had a chance to claim all three points when he again ran at the Fulham defence, created some space and fired a low shot from 12 yards which Schwarzer did well to push wide.
At Reading; Figueroa had not scored a top-flight goal for almost two years but the Honduras left-back was celebrating after firing through Federici’s legs following a clever one-two with Di Santo.
He should play in midfield then if he is that good because his strike rate is piss poor ! Dont be fooled by all that running around ! ;)
By the way, which Prem club would pay decent money for him and pay him a decent wage ? ;)
Did anyone else notice him heading straight for the tunnel, after our win against Norwich, gaining another 3 points in our fight, his attitude is appalling, this after several other, episodes where when substituted, he has done the same, when I dont think Usain Bolt, would have caught him, in fact the management team, have hauled him back, to sit on the bench, with his team, mates, previously, why doesnt Bobby use the kid from Man Utd, Hernandez, this has been a loan move for me, just as bad as the Scott Sinclair one, and the dutch full back, we got from Chelsea Patrick Van, whatever his name was, if were not going to utilise them why sign them, unless of course there Parent clubs are subsidising, their wages
We can’t use Hernandez because he’s still playing for Man Utd…
If you mean Enriquez – which I’m sure you do – he’s not used because Martinez clearly feels Kone and Di Santo are better than him. He’s been brought in as third choice striker.
Surely you mean Henriquez ! :cheer:
I might write a book about it ! It would have to be called FANNIED ! ;)

thought it was lee or mick r but no not a clue!Lee is leelatic I think and I cant remember what Mick said he was called but it obviously isnt any of those 2 because it is obvious who I am and they would have said something. The only thing I can suggest is that this new Leylandlatic(4eva) geezer is more of a JCL than I am ! Lee, Jeff and myself ( You when you lived here ! ) are the Leyland massive and everyone knows that ( Ask anyone in Leyland ! ) By the way, me and Jeff will be in Austin when the Spurs game is scheduled ! :cheer:
Hey Jay, hows about putting up the entries so we can all see if we are in with a shout as the closing date has long gone and so nothing can effect the result ! I said 46pts which is doable still !
46pts ! And people say I am negative !! :)
Has it ever occurred to anyone that the thought of EVERY single person who strolls up to the ticket office asking the same question “how many have we sold”, may start to wear thin with them, a bit like groundhog day……and you lot wonder why they’re always in a bad mood!!!!we’ve sold 15,000….trust me, i know (i’m right all the time)…end of
Groundhog day !! Now that is funny !
