Two players who wont really be missed and played hardly any part whatsoever in those 10 ‘
Get out of jail free’ games !Don’t you think it ironic how Ashley Young is good at getting pens but sh*t at taking them !! :cheer:
Football sort of ruined first set but come second set the folks were all over it and dancing away ! Next time then !
Sorry only just seen this ! Yeah good boozer and we are in there tonight !
Is it:
England(and that’s the surprise….I love surprises)
Greece (Sepp Blatter has made a deal with Ms Merkel)
Ukraine (Sepp Blatter has made a fortune on goal line technology stock)
Germany (Sepp Blatter is hedging his bets in the future)
Bahamas national football team (Sepp Blatter retirement project)
Germany(Sepp Blatter likes a double entry….ooh err missus)as Mr Standish said…this thread was spoiled a bit.
Trolls – what can you do?
[winky/wanky thing here]
Normally sensible and witty but not this time ! Lost the plot springs to mind or booze !
Thanks Phil….
the sensible and witty reference (normally) recommendation has been noted.
Losing the plot?…..now there, is a concept only discussed earlier – whatever!
Booze?……..you could affix this dysfunction to every thread here – whoever writes it or at whatever time of day. You should know that.
Sensible or witty?………as a non drinker – I take exception to that. I am neither.
Phil…..you remain a top chap here.
ha ha ha
When I contributed to this thread in the early hours of this morning both booze and a distinct lack of the plot played a big part in my contribution !! :)

Think the title of the thread is a bit of a red herring Phil. I don’t think winding each other up and giving each other a bit of jip on a field is sending off tactics. That to me is just banter. We have all done it, Doesn’t matter what level it is for that, It happens from Sunday league to Premier league. Sending off tactics are blatant diving etc for me and can’t be condoned. Should be automatic red cards for any type of cheating. Don’t tell that to the ITV commentary team though, They go mad when a p[layer get’s a kick in the box but tries to stay on his feet rather than fall over. Mr. Townsend said last week in a match just after such an incident, “He should be going down there and getting his team a penalty, There was enough contact”
Whilst I hate diving (I once booked a player for a swan dive – after he’d had his shirt pulled & I’d given the penalty) & it winds me up no end when you can see a player already going down before any contact is made (e.g. darren Fletcher at old trafford the other season when Alcaraz was sent off) there is a difference between diving (no contact) & the situation you give an example of when a player is fouled (kicked) & doesn’t go down (or does go down) IMO
Also, personally in England’s first game at these Euro’s against France, James Milner should have got himself clobbered by the French keeper in the first half & got us a penalty. Its not cheating or gamesmanship but England had used their skill & movement to create a chance & Milner should have drawn the foul (in itself a skill) rather than leaving himself with a chance that was always going to be harder to score then miss
A bit like billiards then !! :)
I mentioned other tactics ! The point that I am trying to make is why cant teams just play the game and not rely on the opposition being reduced to 10 or even 9 men ? I myself would feel better within myself knowing that a team I had played for had won a game 11 v 11 than I would if the opposition ( Particularly close rivals ) had been reduced to say 10 men !
Mind you, having 10 men is an advantage according to our Bob ! B)
I present as evidence for the defence the cases of:
Simon Haworth sent off playing for Tranmere v Wigan 17 Sep 2002
Darren Sheridan sent off playing for Oldham v Wigan 14 December 2002, and
Lee Cattermole sent off playing for Sunderland v Wigan 11 Sep 2010.Some teams do seem to use the tactic ;)
Lee Cattermole got himself sent off with 2 bad challenges and don’t recall him being wound up by anyone !
He was certainly wound up by the crowd who boo’d every breath he took.
I’m shocked jr our own fans winding up the opposition players :woohoo:
Bloody Rubbish Wigan ;)
The crowd wound up/upset Ellington in the first game in the Premiership that he played against us, so much that he was subbed early on.
Although he was a legend with us, he had made a choice and became fair game. And it worked.
As I remember it he got subbed tactically just after Darren Moore got sent off !
He would we replace him with?Stick to the copy and paste eh !! B)

I lost interest and stopped reading after the words, “The media seem to think”.Well surely you shouldn’t have replied then should you !!
So if say the Venky’s decided to pump a sh*t load of money into BRFC and I mean a sh*t load and then offered say 12 million for him he would go there would he ! Would he fcuk ! He has a latent talent and needs a club that can utilise that talent to the maximum, there are not too many teams out there that can do that so he should be careful. However if money is his sole object then what a shame !
I will actually be rooting for England against Italy ! B)
As Standish said, very civil of you. The real question though is this, if things aren’t going well, will you stay to the end, or switch off the TV, log onto an internet forum and call for the English Clown to be sacked?
No monkey boy, I will be laughing my head off !! :P
So, you’re a German supporter who will be rooting for England, but laughing your head off should Italy beat them?
The term superfan could have been invented for you!
I will be rooting for them because I want a Germany v England semi.Should they fluff their lines I shall find it highly amusing !!
