So gg, with 278787.33 being your prediction, your the 7th entry to guess the gate.
This will be our 7th season in the championship
Will we finish 7th?
I’m glad there’s no 6’s in this equation!
I felt as if my analysis was going on for a bit too long, so I am delighted that a. someone else noticed that, and b. pointed it out!
Using Naismith’s rule which states that the sum of the parts is greater than the total, and by the end of the season those parts will amount to:
278787.33. In Hong Kong great positive superstition is put on the benefit that repeating numbers brings, but at the same time the final 2 digits must not be even but must total an even number. You will of course have seen that in restaurants in Hong Kong tables are never set for 6 or 12, but 7 or 13 is ok and if you want to buy your loved one a dinner service, it’ll be an odd number of plates. That brings me back nicely to:
278787.33 You will of course also notice that the 3 numbers 787 repeat. The boeing 787 being the ‘dreamliner’, and that is a reflection of how our season will go. You heard it all, as breaking news HERE!! by GG!! G being the 7th letter in the alphabet.
HORC …. it is all jolly good fun, thanks for doing it, and keeping on with it.
I want to make 2 suggestions:
1. That the scoring can be age related.
2. We do a pre-season warm up / training session and have a guess at the grand total of all games at the end of the season. Thanks!
It’s mental age wat matters, innit.
Can we also have a half time photo for the auto promotion and 4 play off places of this table as well.
Oh dear :(67.
And what do we all sing together ……
“You’re top of the league, you’re top of the league”!!
67 and very wise with it!!
How old do you think I am?
Actual age?
Mental age/‘Ihaventaclue’, but I’ll have a go –
Actual – 30
Mental – 12Be truthful!!!
Actual – 63.
Mental – you to decide but my school report from 50 years ago said “GGs behaviour can at times be quite childish”. Oh for the perception of a teacher.
How old do you think I am?
Actual age?
Mental age/Well at least u lot aren’t bickeringNOT at all. I love my job and I love the place I work. You get used to it, and realise that as a worker there is very little you can do ….. so do what you’re there to do, and do it well. If those that thrive on sitting in meetings want to do it, let them, it means I don’t have to. It also means these ‘meeting’ people are rarely around, and often there is a big benefit to the shop floor in that!
This confusion would never be allowed to continue in the NHS. An emergency meeting would be called, cancelled, rearranged, postponed and then re-rearranged, no matter what the expense to sort the terminology out.
The offence would be rebranded as an “STI” a Seriously Trivial Incident , but this would be reviewed every 12 months to ensure maximum confusion. It would also need to be passed by a panel who preside over abbreviations.
Training on the new terminology would be set up and this would be mandatory and linked to all staffs pay. Most importantly, the training wouldn’t be available until next year when every conceivable piece or paperwork has been changed,
To show Patrick Bamford just how serious this is he would be sent an EMAIL! He would then receive 6000 more emails just to make sure he got the first email.Just to clear that up!
Bet you all think I’m joking
You forgot to mention that before the meeting everyone involved will hold pre-meeting briefing meetings to decide what they consider the issues are, and then after the meeting everyone will hold review meetings to discuss how it went.
There would be a list of decision points and action points produced, with monitoring of the action points delegated to someone who wasn’t at the meeting so has no idea what the actual issues are.
I know you’re not joking. I worked in public sector too ;)
For the sake of clarity those attending the meeting are most likely to have nothing at all to do with the incident, and know nothing about the area of work and meanwhile the team on the shop floor continue to graft away keeping the whole section and department functioning as if Bamford had never deceived anyone.. It is likely that action points will be made but never actioned. There will of course be assurances that ‘changes will be made’ but a time scale will not be mentioned.
HORC ….. don’t put yourself down. It’s gone really really well, and been fun. You’ve put a lot of time and effort into it. Thank you!! It all adds to my great ‘Wigan experience’.
Ideas ….. a sentance on the ways people decide their guess, and then points for the most (im)plausible, decided by an independent arbitration panel.
Now I was on lads bus today GG, plenty of booze consumed. Sure reece didn’t make one good pass today?Yup you’re right. He was utter rubbish today. Had an absolute stonker of a game.
Ok then, Nathan & Nickie P.
That’s been our season how did we not win that .Exactly my thoughts. But I’m basking in the glorious knowledge of a 5 – 1 moral or virtual win, and that’s good enough for me.

He is very good. Lots of questions about whether we’ve seen any better yooofs at Wigan …… Victor Moses???? Anyone?
