Where’s loudmouth? Surely he can supply sufficient hot-air to help us in our hour of need.
I’ve already got a fiver on him being the first to blame the lack of grit on the Spanish One
Not really sure how delaying the kick-off will help. Unless it is delayed until June :(
Mind you, if you look at some of the photos on the link below you can see why the elf and safety brigade will want to call it off

Announcement to be made at midday. This is due to approach roads and car parks being frozen.Oh, I think with Sky money at risk, this is unlikely :D
Anyway, you’re closest. Get out there and get some salt spread ;)
That all sounds like semantics to me Griff. As in it’s not worth me “worrying” about us being able to keep hold of good players, but it is okay for you to be “concerned” who we get in to replace them.
It all adds up to the same thing surely?
Nope, not really. By “concerned”, I meant that I find myself thinking about this from time to time. A better word would have been wondered, I suppose.
A wise man once said to me that worrying never alters the outcome. So, what’s the point?
You worry about it when you want to Griff…
I’ll have a little worry now based on whats gone on before…and if come January I’m wrong I’ll come back on here and admit I was wrong.
I won’t worry about it at all, ever!
It looks nailed on that Figueroa will go because he wants to.
If Scharner is showing litle or no inclination to stay and someone wants to pay £3m, then he should go too.
I’d prefer to concern myself more with who we might bring in to add to our squad rather than who’s leaving. But worry about it? I don’t think so
Id be willing to bet Scharner, Zogbia, Rodellga, Bramble and Figueroa go in January. They dont want to be relegated, and no doubt with our Spanish Hero eyeing up further Championship players as replacements it might be time, come February to admit that we lived the dream, it was a wild ride, but economics, politics and shear football suicide at times, have taken their toll. Its just a shame we are fizzling out.
Not fizzling out as quickly as our so-called “support”
that is not aimed at you in particular but i am sick of this “football martinezeskstyle “is good when in fact it is pretty awful, lethargic and at times down right boring, most have bought into the ‘we dont knock it long theory’ but thats all that bramble and figgy do.I never said we don’t, just that we do it less than we used to.
And if Bramble did anything other than hoof it, I would give him a serious bollocking :D
well there’s your task for tomorrow, count how many times and we will compare notes on tuesday, dont give me that “i’m not that sad rubbish either” you will not be able to resist counting tomorrow. You have to be kidding, mate! I’d rather nail my foot to the floor.
Plus, I’ll be starting my pre-match entertainment about 1pm and will be in no fit state to count, or even stand.
ive been waiting for someone to come out with this perceived rubbish, the addage if people say it long and loud enough the masses will start to believe it seems to have taken effect on youIf you knew me, by the way, you would know that i don’t really let anyone elses views or opoinions get in the way of my own, so I would have to say you have judged this wrong.
You are just like the wife – making assumptions about how I think and what I do, and getting it hopelessly wrong most of the time. :)
so are you telling me that this 50 sideway passes without one telling foward pass is pretty ?
Take your usual hysterical exaggeration out of it and I would say yes it is, certainly prettier than full backs and goalkeeper lumping it as far and high as they can at every given opportunity.
I’m not saying we are very good at it yet, but i prefer it, yes.
i watched a recording of the the full game against liverpool yesterday, and noticed we were passing back to kirkland alot and hoofing it upfield so me being the sad barsteward i am i watched again at 4X speed and counted how many times we did it well it was 26 times, now is that more or less than bruce’s teams did ?
It certainly is sad. But you have picked one game, when we are up against a very good team. (And dont give me the worst Liverpool team for 40 years).
In total, I perceive that we do it an awful lot less than we did under Bruce.

Well, we can’t agree on everything, can we? :roll:I just don’t see why a side HAS to play a ‘set style’.
Surely you need to adapt and change……
Just ask Mick McCarthy. :D
I’m not referring to not being able to change tactics. I have said many times that – in my opinion – the football we played under Bruce was awful and I would rather lose 4-3 or 3-2 trying to play prettily than watch that.
Any football is good……as long as you win. We can’t all be Brazil ’70.Not in my view it’s not
All is not lost if we don’t beat Bolton… but what worries me most is that out of the struggling teams in our mini league we seem to be the only ones rumoured to be looking to sell premier league experienced players. Granted these are only rumours but we all know what our form has been like over the last few seasons for keeping hold of our best players!I won’t have it that we need to balance our books more than all the other teams, so lets see how many experienced premier league players we have in our first eleven come the end of January.
And so why don’t we wait until we get into January before we start moaning about it?
