Great post, owd ‘un – however, prepare to be called an idiot, and much worse, in return

PS, “how much is that doggy in the window?” is the favoured anthem of our transfer market obsessed friends on here [tin-hat smiley]

Murphy is injured, has been for a while and isn’t (and hasn’t been for a while) a starter at Fulham. If he’s not good enough for them he’s not good enough for us.

Probs wouldn’t wanna leave London anyway AND i’m sure he’ll be on a decent wage even at around 30ish.

Wouldn’t give us anything more than we’ve got apart from another has been who’s past his best.

I can think of many other players at Fulham I would rather have in part ex!

Murphy was captain, and a starter for every game until he was injured. Clearly he’s not good enough for them when he’s injured.

Why wouldn’t he want to move from London, given that he’s from Chester? I know that answer, but do you?

So, come on Hansen – which of their players – who might even consider coming to Wigan – would you choose?

All you ‘sit on the fence and keep calm’ brigade make me sick.

That’s me, then. What colour sick bucket do you want?

Awesome – priceless – brill – fantastic and a tad sneaky! Glad it didn’t get too much publicity as one of the big four ul come in and steal him when they do with HUGO! It was PURRRRRFECT – says the CAT

    “Aww Figueroa, that’s a shocking f****** waste of a free-ki… F*** ME!! GERRRRIINN!! THAT’S PURE F****** GENIUS!! WHAT A PLAYER! “

… was my somewhat embarrassed accompaniment to that goal.

We’ll have to wait and see Bob who comes and who goes, because at the moment it’s all speculation. But I’m afraid it’s not just Whelan being tight that results in us missing out on big names, and therefore, expensive players. Sad fact, is that most of them just won’t come.

And to be honest, if the choice is relegation in the next 1 or 2 years with a financially viable concern or relegation in the next 4 or 5 with no club at all to support, I’ll take the first option.

They have all the pressure, we have nothing to lose. The script is set for our own Amigo to get Ranting Rafa the sack! I can see the headlines now!

Is it just me, or have I seen Rafa somewhere before, stealing kid’s toys?

Depends if he comes with his “weird” head on or not.

If he is in the right frame of mind, and doesn’t want £60k per week, it might be a decent option. To be honest though, if he looks like he is interested in coming here, he will probably wind up somewhere else, as usual.

… Gerrard the diving cheating whinging thug

Or, alternatively, one of the best players in the world

… the natural balance of who should be winning.

Yes, the “natural balance” of things being that we will get scutched.

Are you and Bob joined at the hip? Do you argue in pairs all the time? Do you check what the other is wearing before you turn out? ;)

Who said we wanted him out ????

The implication from Bob’s reply (though I’m sure he can argue for himself) is that we should not be happy with the interest (allegedly) being shown in this cheap/poor option (allegedly) from Swansea again which is happening because Whelan is tight and has no ambition to stay in the premier league or advance any further up it (allegedly) and we would be better off without him. So, I simply asked what Bob’s solution is – starter for 10, no conferring. :)

He needs to shut his mouth because the majority of stuff he comes out with is made to look very silly indeed weeks or months on !

Agreed, but it’s been happening for years and as he descends into senility it will happen more and more.

As for his decision to put Lindsay on the board, well some of you must have very short memories or maybe selective memories !

As much as I hate Lindsay, there is no doubt that he has a proven track record in sports administration and politics, albeit not football specifically. That said, I think Whelan put him there in the belief that he might, rightly or wrongly, be taken more seriously than, say, Brenda. I don’t see Lindsay doing much else at the club and most people have forgotten that he’s there. He’s still a t*** of the highest order, of course, but other than getting under the skin of most of our long-standing supporters, he isn’t doing any harm.

OK then Bob, assuming you get your way and Whelan goes, what happens next? Who do you see taking over and where would that leave our club? Would we actually be better off – as a club?

    in reply to: Liverpool #15269

    We’ll get scutched.

Everybody sorts out their problems when they play us.

Hope not, but I’m probably right.

I was going to say ‘cousin’ but thought it might be deemed as offensive content. Is that legal these days?

Think cousin would have been marginally preferable to “child” :)
