So, will Figueroa come back all bleary-eyed too, or will we see Edman get a run out on Sunday?

in reply to: ZAKI ! #10631
What you on about, I’m not posting anti Whelan I’m posting pro Zaki. Instead of reverting to questioning my posts, why don’t you just reply? I think we should have Zaki, so there! Yaawwn..,,

If I read your post correctly you implied that Whelan told him to play poorly to put off other clubs from buying him. That makes Whelan look a fool, but makes you look an even bigger one, I think.

If I have read your post incorrectly, improve your English. :|

I too would take Zaki back. But at the moment, I would take any striker going.

Something Zaki said on his site and I wouldn’t be surprised. Whelan asked him to ease off to deter other clubs. If we had got him, it would have been in reverse, score as many as you can so we can make a few bon on ya.

Yeah right, course he did. What’s Zaki’s website called, i’llsayanythingtomakemelookasaint.com?

Anyway, what’s rattled your Whelan cage this time? He been fiddling with your bird again?

Don’t start all this anti DW drivel again, perleeease.

Pitching a tent on the bowling green of the Joburg Hilton doesn’t count, you know. :)

He was an U21 international while with us. He moved from a lower middle ranking team to a slightly higher middle ranking team, but, on the other hand, he suffered injury problems which affected him after moving, as several other players have. As things stand now, I fail to see how he’s furthered his career. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a cracking player, but, apart from the odd UEFA Cup game, where’s the benefit? If he hadn’t suffered his injury problems and had been a permanent fixture in a top four side, that would be a different story. Question. Would you rate Fulham as a good move for a player? They’re playing in Europe the same as Everton.

I think you’ll find the fact that he is no longer an U21 international has a more fundamental cause than him leaving Wigan for Everton.

in reply to: Question #10584

I can’t remember much about him myself, other than I think he was on LFC books before he came to us, and he had ginger hair, that’s about it.

Nah, tha’s thinking about David Fairclough ;)
He wasn’t a left back was he Griff?
Fair point, well made

whats in your name 57?
is it your age.?

I thought it was to do with his bowling figures at cricket, or perhaps something to do with a local baked beans factory.
5 for 7 are not bad figures.

Hands up all those who thought of posting that reply since yesterday but thought it was too easy :D

in reply to: Jimmy Bullards comeback #10524
Of course they’re all in it for the money Griff but lets bwe honest.. Dont you think if anybody deserved it that it was JB? especially if half of the team were on a higher wage?
Twiglets

Possibly, but I can’t find much sympathy for any of them with the ridiculous money they earn. Good luck to them, but my heart won’t bleed for anyone who complains that he should get £30k per week rather than his £25k per week just because the fella next to him in the dressing room has £30k a week and a better agent.

That was just a generic example, by the way, not aimed at JB or anyone else.

in reply to: Jimmy Bullards comeback #10517
Bullard was probably a bit different as if anybody deserved the pay rise it was him….100% regardless and was a very good player…
In my eyes he is a true pro and a wigan athletic legend and i refuse to see him as anything else

Well at least you’re not just posting foodstuffs.

Have to say I am with Tyldesley on this one. Jimmy was a good lad generally but they are all in it for what they can get and I don’t blame them one little bit.

why do you not like me sonny?

Like you?

Seriously, if you think that other than the times when I have little choice but see your posts on here I give you even a split-second’s thought you are worryingly deluded.

nob

This from the person who says that people who have errors pointed out have to resort to saying f*** off.

No further questions.

fool.

Quite witty and clever though. Look those words up too.

:)

in reply to: Kapo #10445
what do you expect when you ask stupid questions?
why did he come to wigan.
some folk.

My question was clearly rhetorical. Look it up.
