another point on the rocky road to salvation eh stadler and waldorf
Glad your happy thirty but today that was 2 points thrown away and 1 point in our position is not enough.
Of course it could have been three but what you and a lot have been moaning about is lack of chances or creating of chances if the ball would have bounced kindly in the area just once today ot would have been all three points
We’ve played well today but IMO the 90 mins summed up our season we conceded a soft goal(well taken mind but not great defending)and struggled to score even though we did create a lot of chances.
You’re one miserable twat Hindley, and you have the nerve to tell me I don’t know how to support my club???
Who you calling a twat you fucking knobhead do you not think we should have won??? and do you think a point is enough??? Prick.
Like I’m going to respond to childish drivel like that. You and LMB should share a booster seat, you pair of children.
For what it’s worth a point is more than I thought we’d get and as we seem to have found a second-gear Gomez in Maloney, I’ll take that today.
Swansea beating City puts last week’s result into a bit of perspective now, as well.
I still think we deserved all 3 points so IMO it’s 2 points lost and also IMO 1 point in our position is not good enough. I’m not sure what your gripe is with my original post, oh and before you call people childish remember who called who a twat ;)

Then don’t go fellas, if you don’t like it. Doesn’t do off us all to think the same. And I have no intention of continually repeating my views on here for the benefit of the hard of reading.
Spoken like a man who knows feck all about really supporting a football team. If it was that easy changing my team I’d be sat in the Etihad singing Blue Moon but Wigan are my team and will be till i die.
He’s not that good anyway as someone has already pointed out he ain’t as good as he thinks he is. Mind you I think that goes for quite a few of our current squad
i liked us under steve bruce.
anyways, like i said, i liked us under bruce, i always came away from the game thinking we gave our all out on the pitch and tho the football was abit more direct, it wasnt long ball and we had some skilful players i.e palacios, valencia.
i’d rather have that team and that manager, than the current one.
And after a season or so of it not working or us shock horror not actually getting into
europe and having paid the likes of £40k per week to Bramble and whatever it would have cost to keep Valencia and Palacios we’d probably have gone the way of Portsmouth and we wouldn’t be worrying about whether we’ll get anything from Norwich today. The only things I came away with from games in the Bruce era was
a) the thought “how did we manage to sign players like Valencia and Palacios?” and
b) a stiff neck.
Bruce got the best out of the players he had and played a system which suited them and guess what we won football matches. Bob wants us to play a style of football we will never ever be good enough to play and it’s boring and slow and gets us no wins.
I know which I would rather watch.
you cant polish a turd.
our players are not good enough to do what he (martinez) wants them to do.
they are not comfortable on the ball, we have defenders who are not very good at defending, and strikers who cant hit the target. myself and everyone else can see what he wants them to do, but they are not good enough to do it..and if we do manage to groom a couple of players to be any good, they will get taken by bigger clubs.
thats why we were more succesful under jewell and bruce..they bought players to do a job, and they did it.
if we want to be like bilbao, us as fans are gonna have to be VERY VERY patient..stick with martinez and let him have 7-8 years of learning the whole club how to play this way, from the kids to the first team, and be prepared for a few ups and downs, and let him get on with it, without pressure.
it wont happen though, its not the english way, he will be forced out by the fans, or he will walk.
thing is, which way do we want it?
are we prepared to wait, and let him doin his job and support him unconditionally?
or do we want a change, try to stay in the premier league?
sorry to pick at a little part of what you said sanctuary but I don’t get why people seem to think bruce was a sucessfull for us? He had half a good season in his full season in charge and after that we were dire.
I believe if he hadn’t of gone to Sunderland Tesco would be relegated by now…
Despite us having poor outcomes in a lot of games there hasn’t been many matches where we haven’t dominated a period of the game chalk back to the first 20 min of Swansea that some were calling the worst performance ever!
All in all sometimes under Jewell Hutchings and Bruce the team was out of ideas and we pushed our luck to the limit!
If only we could keep the spells of domination up for 90 minutes….
Salford when Bruce arrived we where doomed and he turned things round and kept us up, a pretty good start in my eyes. Then in his last season until Whelan sold his team from under him we would have walked into Europe. We won something like one game after the January transfer window and finished seven points off a European place. So I ask you how the fuck do you not call that success???
Come on Latics – a 4-0 win and we’re out of the relegation zone :cheer:How many did you have last night Garswood ;)
could be worse, could be on the same intellectual plane as mersonNot much in it if you ask me, both as thick as a Gurkha’s foreskin.
i do it everytime, im sat here telling myself “dya know what? if we win tomorra…..and im gonna get let down again aren’t i?, they are gonna put in a pathetic performance infront of the whole country, and prove what everyone already knows, we are the worst team in the league..
or are they?
is tomorrow the start of the great escape?
is martinez gonna put out his best team ?
norwich have lost there last three, is it a good time to play um?
Hope so :woohoo:
Well its laughable to me !! Its like telling Jordi Gomez he could quite easily fit into the Spanish national team’s mid field !!
Filmoss why not??? he’s a great player :P
He got an under 17 cap over 10 years ago !!
I wouldn’t give him a flat cap mate.

Welcome to the Darkside Duke it’s taken you a while but it was inevitable with this clown in charge ;)
we could just get behind them, when they actually need usAnd they could try and do the right things and give us something to get behind. A bit of excitement, shots on target, making the opposing goal keeeper make some saves, quick passing football.
Remember those days Moggy when you actually looked forward to going to the JJB/DW???
