aye but it now gives them armchair and pub fans the opportuntity to spend there giro in the pub and not the ground again
my grandson who has a xbox football game and sometimes comes to the games with me wants to know when is rosler going to stop messing about with the team has he reckons that we should of had 6 last night and its not good enough
realistically what position does he see us finishing this season. not what he wants the fans to hear but realistically
Hard to argue with such well researched lies, damn lies and statisticsAlso, whilst I broadly accept your subjective groupings of the teams in the league, it is also widely accepted that “anyone can beat anyone” in this division and, even if that isn’t 100% true, form certainly fluctuates which makes comparisons difficult throughout the course of the season. Therefore, as those in the know always claim that football is a results business, I would suggest that an improvement in points earned per game from 45% to 60% represents a significant turnaround in fortune.
thatll do for me, wraps the argument up nicely
Considering the amount of games we play and that Rosler has come in half way through the season the squad rotation and constant tinkering with the tactics is understandable.i would tend to agree with that. short memories some people has some think he s been here longer than half a season. we need to exercise patience with him has he puts his plan together. we have all seen what happens when a manager rushes stuff just to appease the fans
Generally speaking there are only a few people on here with the intelligence to understand banter, have debate and use the winky things in the right place. Those people will know who they are.
now lad you know that is just condescending self righteous bollox
No lad, I know it’s the truth lad. Thanks lad.
with that answer lad you are obviously not one of the few on here then.

i sort of agree with you lmb and its right to say things out loud what other people are thinking. but i also takes griffs point as well i think that dw looked at rosler and saw a progressive young manager in the making. i can see this as you said about senior players becoming stiff and slow and that was because of coyle what we now have is increased fitness levels, asnt he brought in his previous sports fitness trainer to make sure everyone has there own fitness regime. i also think that he is tinkering as people say because he wants to know who is good and who isnt, i think someone mentioned this earlier. he as restricted his buying in january so he can have more in the summer to make a proper fit team ready for the premiership. coyles fitness regime was to play ping pong with them and play 5 a side with them instead of proper coaching. i think he has good potential and them that cant see it dont want to.
Row 1? Free ticket by any chance?isnt it were the ball boys sit. if he were any lower he’d be in the cellar stokin the boiler.
This thread wasn’t meant as an anti Rosler post. I do think that Rosler is the right manager. What I don’t like is the way he tried to turn what was a poor performance (all be it the conditions didn’t help) into something it wasn’t. If he thinks that’s our best away performance then we must have been proper dog in all the other ones.
I don’t want Rosler falling into the bullshit comments that ultimately got Coyle the sack and turned fans against him with poor performances that in his opinion were good.Rant over
Most managers do it.
They put a positive spin on things for the benefit of their players’ morale.
Coyle’s interviews didn’t get him the sack. It was his relationship with people at the club and the poor on-pitch performances.
and the fact he was a shit manager as well
No ones asking you Phil – as the truth of the matter is that you very rarely
attend away matches, you hardly ever take your seat at kick off time
and it is widely accepted you leave 15 minutes before the end of the gamecalm down lad. that bloke in australia dosnt get to the away games has well or him over the pond.
I just completely disagree that any of those teams in the group had a better squad of players than us but to go out there playing the same school yard tactics that he did in every match was an absolute shambles!bit harsh that on up holland high schools first team. but seriously i think you are spot on with your observations and there are not many in the ground that would disagree wit you
didnt they recently sell a player who had an outstanding court case against him without telling the other club. i think player is barred from playing til its sorted and karen brady said she new nothing about it. load a bollox and cheating gets
he came on the cheap and talked the talk.son in law was asking how many were in the pot for interviews has there was only one in the pot when we got rosler. didn’t we have rosler in our sights before but never invited him for a chat. on another thing i dont think we would have had the strength in depth to have made a good run at europa league and put in a shift for the fa cup and still have a hankering for the play off places, something would have to give. someone mentioned hindsight earlier ask yourself what would you want from the team if we had got roseler in first has i dont think we could manage success on three fronts. what is your priority this season
Could be a few more loanees on the way though when the window re-opens on Monday
how many have we got and how many are we allowed to have
Don’t know whether someone has answered this for you but this is from an article about us looking to bring in Craig Dawson…
And that news will come as a blow to many Wanderers fans who were desperate to see Dougie Freedman get the funds to make his own effort to tempt the 23-year-old, pictured, for a second spell at the club. Wigan failed with a deadline day bid for Dawson because they failed to clear the relevant paperwork in time for the 11pm deadline – and the situation was further complicated by the fact Rosler can only play five loan players in his matchday squad, as per Football League rules introduced this season.
… I didn’t know they’d changed the rules this season. Might have been something to do with Watford having 324 on loan last season. Not sure how many you can have in total but you can only have 5 dressed up in football kit on match days. No wonder Coyle struggled – that full kit wanker took up one of the 5 slots himself.
this and garswoods reply sorted me out thanks. funny that no one else noticed that the lad coyle was also a loanee at the time
