Great post and one I completely agree with. Playing McCarthy alongside Diame worked well and gave Scharner freedom and he worked his socks off (as did the whole team). Kirkland hardly had a save to make against 5 times european and 18 times english champions. That is a great achievement and just shows how solid our defence was last night and can be when playing well. I do think Moreno is showing potential, he is still young and has a few nice touches. He didn’t play badly and didn’t stop running for the whole time he was on. I don’t think he’s 100% fit yet though, Roberto will do work with him and I think if he performs well between now and the end of the season we may see him make a permanent move in the summer.
Diame and Mccarthy… Both young, Please please please Mr.Whelan do not sell them! They could be great together given a few years.

I’ve come to expect the arrogance of Liverpool fans over the years thinking they have a divine right to win trophies, but this hack on the local rag takes the biscuit.
He has the cheek to ask whether we are a Premier League team!! We may be little Wigan punching above our weight with the big boys but we have earnt our place at football’s top table.

Also how bad was Torres tackle on Boycie should have been a straight red imo.
What are they odds there is no action taken against these two by the FA?I saw it at the time.
Of course he wont get punished for it, I don’t believe he should do either, Id be very very upset if one of our players did it and got charged for it. Worse things have gone unpunished.
Also the Torres tackle was a booking at tops, never a red in a million years.

Great win, And if Boyce performs like that more often I will be made to eat my words about him not being good enough now… he was outstanding, definate contender for MOTM, one of the best performances I have seen from a right back this year, got forward well and defended well. Either you don’t speak the truth OR you went to the bookies with the worst odds in the world. Been to 3 different bookies (2 online) .. and got offered WAYYY bigger odds than that. A lot closer to the 100/1 mark.
