no no no no no. nice trip to the cotswolds. head splittingly good local ale, loads of small B & B’s at half the price of nottingham. no crime.
they even have a west country equivalent of Hooters…”Udders”* though the women are a bit old and, well, droopy
*not stricktly speaking true
you can get the plastic pub experience in nottingham or any town in britain
skittles and scrumpy in a real pub the west country bring it on
I knwo I am only 20 but you can’t beat a quite pub with plenty fine ales on tap, plenty of them down there?
Wasn’t this the response we got when Lee Cat was being sounded out by Sunderland?
Here’s a thought for the darker posters on here, what if he was saying all of this so that the other Chairmen/managers think it will take a bigger bid for them to leave, and consequently making Whelan extra cash in his almighty asset stripping process. :D ;)
(Reply to John Arkwright’s post) This was a sarcastic comment made jokingly as it is something along the lines of something that certain posters on here would say. The whole part before it (in the same post) was my view. Granted I could have worded it better to make it more clear that the quoted part were NOT my views.
I would not prefer us to be in a Pompey situation obviously, what the chairman does is his decision and I as an individual have no problem with that, and I fully understand that we need to sell to be financially sound, I will still support the club regardless. What feckin language was that last post written in???I assume you are not a Poker player then Tyldesley :P
Just discussing a tournament I was in :xHe does have SOME points, such as the ball bouncing (well, the fact that it shouldn’t) but it doesn’t really mean that he should handball it. To be fair I don’t think punishment should be took as it was instinct and I would think we wouldn’t mind if one of our players got us into the finals by doing that
Big stack and made money back in bounty’s already ‘pal’ :D
Been paid in 2 already today :PAlways when I’m not there to view?
Never mind im out, girl kept bluffing, all game, I raise pre-flop with pocket 7’s, she goes all in (as per) so I call thinking (knowing) im more than likely good. She had Jack F***ing 6 off suit. I flop trips and she needs runner-runner for her 4 card straight with the 6, and sure as hell, runner-runner. Dents my stack, I push with Kings, 1,200 all in on blinds of 50-100, Idiot calls me with 6-3 off suit, Full F***ing house! Oh there was some words exchanged. In another bounty, bigger buy in now, awesome :D
end of discussion.
End of Bounty hunter starting in 8 minutes, with 16 already registered on skybet, when I take it down and come out a millionaire my friend :) ;)
Like to see that happen ‘mate’.
Don’t know what happened behind the scenes obviously but just hope he sticks to what he says this time. Don’t think he would voluntarily come out and say it if he planned to sell them anyway as he makes himself look a fool.

If you jump into a tackle with both feet off the floor it is deemed reckless as, under the laws of the game, you are deemed not to no longer be on control of your body/the tackle.
In that respect the first challenge was worst than the second & to say Webb wouldn’t have booked him if he hadn’t just booked Stearman is a load of rubbish.
As others have pointed out, the fact that he won the ball is irrelevant. If a player leaps in like that & just misjudges the other players speed or the speed of the ball & catches him, the to put it simply the other player would be f00ked
As for the second one, the full back was going to clear it & Thomas committed himself to a tackle. The full back cleared it & then Thomas arrived about a second later & wound up booting him up into the air. A clear bookingTyldeselylatic… That is EXACTLY what I have been saying, Regardless of Stearman’s booking, or anything else, any ref and in fact anybody who saw the two tackles know that they were both easily worthy of a booking and he HAD to go, Im not saying I wanted him to or anything it’s just that people are arguing that the 1st one was partially because of Stearmans booking just before and that the 2nd one was because he was ‘looking to even it up’. Both were clear bookings and wreckless by Thomas and would have been a sending off regardless of the circumstances. The first would have been a straight red for some refs.
As I’ve said on a previous thread, guest house in nottingham already booked.
It’s either a great night out in Nottingham setdy sampling the delights of the willing nottinghamshire damsels, or playing bingo at whelley labour club with all the cardboard cut outs. :(
Come on COUNTY!!

I will be in Nottingham the weekend after this one anyway so the tie doesn’t bother me too much, suppose 2 weekends in Nottingham wont hurt if it’s a good neet out.
Weeeheyyyy Whelley Labour Club ;) :DI was having a look at his period back in Egypt. He hasn’t scored a single goal this season and last played a game in October where he got sent off. There are better strikers out there. If we get no one then he would’ve been a good loan signing given our current strike force. I think we’ll get someone in though.
JamesC you aren’t a fan of Scotland, you weren’t a fan of Zaki, you’re not a fan of Wigan Athletic either going off the rubbish you say on here.
Decentish post until you come up with that stupid statement at the end, Of course I am a fan of Wigan Athletic, Don’t really say bad things about Wigan athletic as a whole, but I didn’t like Zaki when people were raving about him and he was scoring, Obviously I appreciated the goals but thought that as a player he wasn’t all that good and a lot of the goals were lucky, and I was proven right, which is when everyone started to agree with me. I dont like Scotland because, put simply, He isn’t good enough, and that isn’t a debate, all WAFC fans know this so the part where you used ‘You aren’t a fan of Scotland’ to back up your argument against me is now void as my thoughts are the same as everybody else (or most at least).. I also think that the Zaki part is void too as not many people rated him after his scoring stint came to an end. So really your argument is based on you (and your head) saying I dont support Wigan Athletic because I dislike 2 players who most other ‘Wigan Athletic fans’ also don’t like. Well done.
Oh and if your’e going to back your argument up by saying something like ‘If you dont rate Zaki why are you moaning about us not going in for him’ or something random like that, Then my response is… I didn’t necessarily want him back, just prefer him to Scotland and it would have only been a loan. That Liam on the guitar to the right???
and :D :D :DHope he gets a bag-full to rub our chairmans nose in it. He ‘stuck to his guns’ about not getting him back but doesn’t ‘stick to his guns’ about keeping hold of players. Would have been a good loan signing, see if he can prove himself worthy. He is much better than Jason Scotland and I wasnt a fan of Zaki’s even when he was in scoring form. Rather have Mido than Scotland.
Is there only me thinks he actually won the ball with his 1st challenge?
Nope, I thought he won the ball as well. The problem is that whether or not you dive in with two feet or one, you can’t then vanish. He wins the ball and then both players collide. It’s what happens. Probably is a booking, but the Stearman one before it (which could quite easily have been red as it was a shocker – he was certainly nowhere near the ball) definitely influenced the decision.
I don’t think anything influenced the Thomas decision. Both were clear red cards and to be fair, there shouldn’t even be a debate. He had to go and there would have been outrage from everybody bar WAFC supporters if he hadn’t seen red.
Apparently Im not allowed to post my comments on this even though I made a very decent reply to some posts. Apparently if my argument beats Landgates and I answer his question properly and he decides that it is correct, he just deletes it for no reason. To save face I suppose.
