When put in to perspective, it is going to cost us the tax payer a couple of hundred grand to find out whether a thug of a player said something or not.
His reputation is cack anyway, so it isn’t as if we would be shocked if he is found guilty, nor will it effect the afore mentioned lack of a decent reputation.
So we foot the bill for a fooyballer to get a fine of less than an hours pay – great.

That is exactly the point, Boris Johnson will be there as Mayor of London, starting the opening ceremony and passing on the flame after the closing ceremony. He will no doubt have a major role to play during the games as well in his capasity.
Lord Coe will be involved in his side of things.
Cameron will no doubt be involved in his way.
John Terry will be there or there abouts….And this is why in the spirit of the games, omitting a person who bleeds for this country and was influential in London actaully getting the dam games, is disgusting.
I thought a lot of Stuart Pierce before this and not picking him to feature in the squad was bad enough, but not even as cheif coffee man…. he needs to give himself a shake and get over what ever grudge he holds….

If it goes ahead, it is for his and his agents paockets, not for footballing reasons, he would be a loss, yes…. but certainly replacable.
The problem with this situation is it will probably drag on a few more weeks, leaving us less time to get a replacement bedded in….. I just wish they would come up with the money if they want him and if not shut the F*** up and let him get on with pre-season.

As I was actually on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace watching (albeit at a bit of a distance, but not as far away as I was when watching U2 at Round Hey), I can say that it was a superb atmosphere and the thoughts were the same regarding the artists.
Thought Robbie’s first bit was nervy but the concert only really got going after his second stint. Kylie, Shirley, Tom, Alfie and Madness went don’t down a storm.
Funniest moment was when Lang Lang was hyped up to hell before mentioning his name and when he was announced almost everybody around me said “who the f*** is Lang Lang” and he didn’t live up to his building up.
All in all it was great night without getting ripped off with beer prices of being hassled by police (it certainly makes a change to what they are like at the football). In fact it has been a great week.
