If we get some more writers on board, we will print it again, at the moment there only 4 or 5 volunteers… I’ll see about organising at least one for this year.
If anybody feels they think they can contribute, let me know editor@cockneylatic.co.uk

No, it got me last week and a few others, but hasn’t asked since.
We upgraded the security a couple of weeks back and this is one of the counter measures to combat Spammers.

As you can see, the results archive is being brought up to date and we are trying to get the rest of the ‘head to heads’ on site as well. Gillingham and Walsall are the latest additions.

According to Wigan Today …
Conor Sammon and Tom Cleverley are cup-tied and goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi is unable to face his parent club, although all three would be available for the next round should Latics progress.
Why would Cleverley be cup-tied, and why would this change in the next round? I can only assume that it’s because we’ve taken him for a second loan spell in the transfer window, after the first leg of this game, so he’s effectively a new squad member like Sammon.

I think it’s almost correct but – and well done, the good old, WEP – for all the wrong reasons.Ali and Cleverley are not cup tied but can’t play because their loan sarrangement preclude them from appearing against their parent clubs.
Sammon is apparently ineligible because he signed after the original tie was played and cannot therefore play in the replay.
That is why Sammon would be able to play in the next round but the other two would not.
Simples – I think[/quote]
Cleverley, wouldn’t be playing against his parent club, surely it is because Man Utd are still in the Cup and don’t want him Cup tied in case he is called back, Ali would be able to play becasue if we go through his parent club won’t be involved anymore anyway.FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

I have managed to watch from all four stands, started in the South Stand when first opened, been in West Stand countless times, saw the U21 International (Brazil v Italy) in the North Stand – my only venture in there – and have sat in the East since it was opened up to us.
East is deffo best Stand.

I don’t have the stats on abandoned games, but I can remember Watford a couple of years back.
Paul Jewell ran over to us in the away end and asked if it should carry on…… and it didn’t. we were drawing I think and we drew the rematch.

I’ll go for 1441, the 1000th game being Gillingham away 15th April 2000 and wait for Garswood to give the exact answer… :banana-skier:

I get behind my team more than most, I just want some real answers from him about subjects such as some Wigan fans wanting him out. I want him to stay.
When the question was asked last week he said:
“I understand the frustrations that are felt by fans, beleive me I feel them as well, but I would much rather those frustrations be given at me rather than the players.
Mentally it hurts players when they are booed and jeered, I much rather it be put at me.
I said it would take two seasons and three transfer windows to have the foundations set for Wigan Athletic to start challenging for that tenth place or higher in the league instead of just surviving and I think I have the team to do that now.
It has been hard changing Latics both on and off the field, but to stay away from the relegation battles every year we had to make these changes and the playing style would not just happen overnight.
The signs and the chants obviously affect me, but I have a job to do and and getting the 4 winsd and 2 draws that will keep us up is my concern now, get behind the players and we will be OK.
