Everton will be fine, and will probably take points off quite a few of the teams that will deffo be down there (Brum, Fulham, Villa and Blackburn at home, Wolves, Toon and Brom away)… but hopefuly not us

Overhead kicks are pot luck ! It could have gone anywhere and on this occasion it went in ! No big deal really but because it won a derby it gets talked about and the media big it up. Up until his goal he was mediocre as he has been most of the season !That’s very true, Hugo tried one yesterday that went harmlesly over the bar….. would have been interesting to see if he would have got the same hype should it have gone in as Rooney – we’ll never now. :violin:

The stats at the ned said we had 50% possession each, they had 3 shots on target to our 2, 9 off to our 5.
They managed not to show the Liverpool defender shapherd the ball out for a corner with his arm in the first 5 minutes.
Anfield was the quietest I have ever experienced it, beside the YNWA at the beginning and the goal, the was nothing, except the screaming when ever a pool player dove to the ground.

Was like a delayed reaction getting to us, but it was superb seeing the ‘Pool faithful’ looking for the ref to disallow it, screaming off side.

I got sick of seeing the diving right in front of us in the second half, whilst they managed to get away with manhandling our lads all over the park.
I was also amazed that Carra was booked, that ref is in a whole pile of cack now, I doubt he’ll get another game this season after that….

As was said when he came, he was going to bring in a more passing orientated game at Wigan. It would take two seasons of survival to get it to click and from then on we would be looking for top ten finishes.
It is like most things I suppose, you can’t just throw a gang of lads together and say, play like this. Roberto has gradually got the team playing like he wants, we are still not there, but he has followed a process – a big risk yes, but he’s had the balls to do it, even with all the knockers. :character-megaman:
If the last three games are the basis of his plan, I hope we are around to see what the next level is. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:
