If you look at his positional play closely, take note of how many times players get goal side of him. Must admit he has improved lately but we are still leaking in pish poor goals.
If AC Milan are in for Robinson, I’d start working on the boy Pearce in training to get him ready for the Wednesday game. Alternatively, draft Luke Robinson in, he looks a handy defender, doesn’t give much away and looks a hard little bugger who can handle himself.From Matlock to ManU

Byrne scored but didn’t make one decent tackle, everything came from their left. I know Dujon is injured so we are struggling at right back but I like my full backs to be defenders first and decent going forward second.

What a journey!Would be great to see but like I said, they’d be under pressure to do something to win the game and to not make a mistake and lose us the game. Some players thrive off that (wayne rooney for example although he’d been playing a while before that goal) others dont. Cook obviously doesn’t want to put them in that position.There’s no point going on about it, I don’t think it’s going to change.
Exactly and that’s why relegation is now a certainty.

The players still on the pitch do exactly what they have been doing.JR is right though, but the players have to take some responsibility also for the loss in concentration that occurs. What a journey!He plays for a point, he should have changed it.He makes attacking subs, he shouldn’t have changed it.
The point is we lose a goal EVERY time he makes changes. Was neither attacking or playing for point change, like for like both players. Garner was doing Ok, Lowe was pants. This is just about the worst performance of the season.

What a journey!We are not talking of moving all the u23’s to the first team we are talking of 3 or 4. Of course EPL U23 teams are getting beat by league one and league two teams there will be players in those teams who haven’t developed yet and maybe 16/17 year olds.
We are losing most weekends, continue with the same players, formation, tactics etc we will be relegated without a shadow of doubt.
Like what happened with Baines, you don’t give um a chance you will never know whether they will take the big step up or not. He got hammered on his debut but it didn’t knock him back he stuck to the task and the rest is history.
I can’t understand why Cook is hung up on age and computer stats. Some of the Liverpool U23 players last night are on more money than our first teamers. 5-6 where in the team that beat Everton in the cup the other week.
