What a journey! You won’t get many replies on here lad.Majority like a whinge but spend more time in Ikea than at a Latics away game
Where does he mention anything about going to Southampton?.
There are plenty pubs in Wigan that will provide liquid refreshment before the game. B)

What a journey!OK he’s probably 90% on his way, but we thought Martinez was when Whelan gave Liverpool permission to speak to him. :woohoo:
Would love him to stay another season and improve under Martinez, but training with world class players day in day out should see him come on, even if he’s not getting much pitch time.
Hope Bobby does spend wisely and the two Blackpool lads do look great prospects.
What about gazumping Wet Spam for Jarvis from wolves with a cheeky 10.5m bid. The £9m we get for Moses plus the £1.5m we got for Sammon. :PIt will be interesting to see who the next player will be to be dusted off and polished into a quality player at Wigan Athletic. goodpost

What a journey!Still just one point from 2 games. :woohoo:
If they play like that for the rest of the season, they will be relegated by February. Far too open game, the classier team will 9 out of 10 times come out on top playing like that. A bit “blackpoolesque” looks great but is not sustainable and the top teams will pick you off and most of the bottom teams.
Liked the look of a couple of players though, the one with the double barrel name and the evergreen Jobie Mcanuff. goodpostFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey! My Bolton fan mate at work said he was through one on one with keeper early on last night and feked it up! :woohoo:

What a journey! We definitely miss his heading ability. Don’t think we’ve scored with a bullet header since he left !!!Boycie might argue that point! B)

What a journey!Does anybody have any pictures from the friendly match we played at Springfield Park in around 1996 when Dave Whelan played a cameo role? We wore the Puma yellow and blue away shirt. I know I haven’t dreamt it but I can’t find the picture anywhere online. It was in a program from that season, probably the first home game. Not sure if he frequents this board but Jeff Rourke is your man. I believe he’s back writing some stuff in the match day programme again. If he doesn’t know it, doesn’t have it, then it doesn’t exist. goodpost

What a journey!Did well but scoreboard didnt read wigan ponfull of chances-Chelsea 2.Kone needs to start as Di Santo will never score the goals our play deserves.I thought Chelsea once in front were never really tested and cruised through rest of the game.Saints game will be interesting as they did well yesterday.Totally disagree with that statement, Di Santo was one on one with the keeper and ballsed up,Kone headed wide from 3 yards out, Gomez shot wide with the goal at his mercy and then his overhead kick when unchallenged. That’s at least 4 times Chelsea “were tested” after they had gone 2-0 up.

What a journey!”what worries me is we never look like scoring ”
Didn’t seem that way from where I was sitting.
i know we had a few chances garswood but what i mean is when were attacking we dont look dangerous enough and i never feel confident that we are going to score where as some other teams going forward look like they could score every time, maybe its just me.[/quote]
Check the stats from previous seasons and tell me how many other teams have created 14 chances against Chelsea, whilst restricting them to 6?.
Today we got punished for two mistakes early doors, but for 83 minutes we more than matched Chelsea. I really don’t know what all the fuss is about Hazzard. Great turn and pass for their first goal and a good bit of trickery for the penalty [pish poor defending really]. He looked one lazy barsteward tracking back and drifted in and out of the game until he was finally subbed. He made no contribution of note in the second half unlike Moses who looked a threat for most of the game linking up first Boycie then Figs.
Just watched the game again when I got home from the match. The MOM for my money was James Thur and watching it again confirmed that. Great vision, great stamina, great awareness, strong in the tackle and not mentioned by any of the sky pundits, who were wetting themselves over one pass and one dribble by hazzard. :dry:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! That formation today, no matter what you fekin call it, got us a ponful of chances against the European champions, whilst restricting them to their lowest ever shot tally in an EPL game since 2007. :woohoo:

What a journey!I wonder what number Amir Zaki would have worn if playing for Charlton in the 90’s.

What a journey!I hope Victor signs a new deal and feks Chelsea off just like Bobby did with Liverpool and Villa, how good will that be for morale? goodpost
If a team like Chelsea are stalling over a few million, they don’t deserve to get their man. £50m for Torres FFS, it just doesn’t add up!

What a journey!I absolutely refuse to wear a red top because the Wigan Athletic I know and love have always played in blue.
Football blue, rugby red in Wigan end of. I remember getting in late to the Galpharm stadium when we won promotion to the first division and seeing our team play in red, OK Huddersfield play in blue, where did that fekin red strip come from? OK the moment was great and the strip thing got lost in the euphoria but WTF: :woohoo:
I hope that nobody buys that third strip and they lose a shed full of money producing them. What’s happened to Cardiff is totally wrong and I hope the fans vote with the money in their pockets and don’t invest in a home kit. goodpost
