JR – only opened and read the first link you posted and saw Hindley’s misplaced negativity and Wiganmon’s usual eminently ignorable contribution. That was enough for me, no need to read on.
I can just imagine you sitting there with your box of tissues hammering away at your….
keyboard for hours finding those last night.
I think you have the most appropriate avatar of any of us on this forum – it’s so you! :)
It didn’t take me 5 mins to find those negative comments, every other post was something derogatory from a fully paid up member of the D/S.
I did promise myself I wouldn’t resort to “I told you so” tactics but although we still have plenty to do, this “clown” of ours and players are making a right good fight of it. B)

What a journey! The signs were there well before February, but we simply didn’t get our fair share of luck and key decisions.
Perhaps it all changed when DW said he would have a quiet word with Bobby and sent a team of his heavies round to give him a bit of the “Reservoir Dogs” treatment. :woohoo:
Don’t forget we still arn’t out of the relegation scrap yet, so feet firmly on the floor boys and girls.

What a journey!Lived just round the corner from me and frequented New Springs Legion. Wouldn’t hear a bad word said against either Latics or Warriors.
A really nice chap and a sad, sad loss.
RIP Keith, I’ll miss our post match chats, God Bless x

What a journey!I personally don’t feel the need to say “told you so” even though the hatred towards bobby, DW and the team were way overboard on here from some posters and wound me up at times.
I honestly think that the majority of the Darksiders are either chubsters in disguise, or whipper snappers who have only tasted success.
The reason I don’t want to say “I told you so” is that the season isn’t over yet and we could still be “gonners” even though the form is good enough as you all will agree no doubt to get us well away from the drop.
Therefore as I and many others have said before on numerous occasions, don’t judge the team, manager and chairman until the end of the season. It doesn’t end in December, February or even April. We are not guaranteed to beat Wolves at home, neither are we guaranteed to lose to Arsenal at the Emirates.
This little warning is just in case we manage to stay in this league for the 2012/13 season. B)From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I have warmed to RM since he stopped being obstinate and changed things around a little ! The main change is to have included Maloney who I am led to believe has not been injured since he arrived in Wigan ! The placing of certain players on the bench instead of in the starting line up has also aided our revival ! The board will settle down now that we are getting results, that’s the nature of a football forum so sorry to disappoint anyone who thought that the spat would continue ! We are almost united as one now in the quest for survival !!Grovelling git! :P

What a journey!as a fan for 32 years yes, couldn’t believe what i was seeingI definitely could believe it seeing that we have recently beaten Liverpool on their own middin and stood toe to toe with Chelsea on their own middin only to get beaten by two “offside” goals.
Me and my mate have been predicting for a while that sooner or later we would trounce a team or take one of the top four out.
If you have been watching the story unfold, the team have gradually improved this season, particularly since February.
If we avoid the drop and Bobby holds on to his prize assets, with the addition of a fox in the box, this team can be a regular top 10 finisher or even push for a Europa. DW did say that and to be fair he’s not been too far off the mark so far. goodpost

What a journey!Footballers are very delicate animals that need attention, but only as and when they feel like it.
I have no doubt that I and many others would love getting out our cars to go to work and be surrounded by fans wanting photos and autographs.
However, from looking at the video of the meet and greet, I got the impression that most of them looked only too keen to get through that stadium door and back to the comfort of their own pre match routine.
I’m all for this meet and greet stuff, but got a sickener when doing the meet and greet at Bournemouth all those years ago. A gang of about 50 fans went outside the players hotel which was only a few doors away from the one we stopped at. One by one the players strutted out, heads down like lambs going to be slaughtered, including Benno god bless him.
Just two players had the decency to look up and acknowledged the fans namely Scott Green and you guessed it……………Roberto Martinez. So my view is, good luck to you if you want to try and get the players lifted for the game, but give them the space to walk and wave instead of asking them to sign everything put in front of them and pose for one photo after another.

What a journey!the attendance against utd hasn’t been that good in the last couple of seasons mainly because the club don’t do special offers to schools and local clubs for big games, utd will sell out naturally but i cant see many knocking about in our end despite what many people think, so i expect the attendance to be around the 20 mark.
I know at least 30 that are going, so there’ll be more than 20 ;)
Not the old “I’ll bet you £10 the attendance will be between 20 and 25 thousand” routine, Griff? ;)
Always worth a try!! ;)
Back to a piggin rugby thread!! :P

What a journey!Think the officials will face scrutiny tomorrow at our game. Rather than breaking our season, they may well have done the opposite.
Fantastic news for Roberto, awful news for Alex. B)The problem is our friend Mr Dowd’s face ull stand cloggin’ therefore don’t expect him to do us any favours.
I can visualise it now, that arrogant look up into the stands and his right arm looking like he’s pointing a shooter at the penalty spot, as Ashley Young is just about to roll into the duggy. :woohoo:From Matlock to ManU
