I thought that the formation we started with was excellent and created more chances than we have in a 45 min spell all season.

Like Griff said we can’t go with a 2 -4-4 formation from the off, we rode our luck at the end with wet spam cocking up two or three 3 on 1’s.

I would deffo put Victor in from the start, probably for Clevs and keep the fish chomping at the bit in case things go paps up like they did in the first half today.

That has got to go down as the best game I’ve seen and I’ve been going since non league days. Absolutely astonishing game, with quality in midfield and up front from both sides and key stone cop stuff from both sides at the back.   :scared-eek:

Team selection should be interesting- wonder if Roberto can come up with a Jewell like sheffield team talk.
Keep the faith- Its going to be a long week.

I think bobby has already shown he can come up with a “Jewell like Sheffield team talk” today.

Didn’t say welcome to the championship, it made reference to Avram Grant being a Millwall legend. very funny, very, very funny.

He also ignored the fact that there were several defenders in his way when dancing into the wet Spam box on 94 mins. :happy-partydance:

… with a horrible thought, if Birmingham get a point today and we lose both us and West Ham are relegated. Gods sake I hate football and what it does to your body.

Not being a know-it-all, but I realised that yesterday (when I read it in the paper).

But here’s the dilemma – do the TV cameras show crying Latics fans or crying West Ham fans?

If it happens – and I still believe we’ll win – no tears chaps! No tears!!
They’ll definitely go for the crying fat, balding, tattooed, middle aged bloke (or women) West Ham fans on the basis that they’re far too big a team to get relegated. Too much history, world cup wins, Sir Trevor etc etc.
Fekin hell thats a perfect description of me!!

Me thinks LMB has finally bumped into that little thing called GOOGLE. ;)

PS. RIGOLETTO, English National Opera, Almost incredible to think that this production by Jonathan Miller was first seen in the early 1980s – almost long enough ago to make it a ‘traditional’ production! It still works as convincingly as when I first saw it – in fact I would go so far as to say that it is MORE convincing than some genuinely ‘traditional’ productions I have seen….the Mafia-dominated 1950s New York is just as corrupt as the court of the Duke of Mantua (Francois I of France in Hugo’s Le Roi s’amuse – Verdi had trouble with the censors again), and it is still about a powerful ‘boss’ who can – and does – have any woman he chooses and discard her once he gets bored with her, who has henchmen who don’t hesitate to dispose of anyone who crosses his will.
Watching this production, I was struck again by the attention to detail displayed by the chorus and the singers of the minor roles, who all actually looked very smart in 1950s costumes.

                  That’s just my opinion like…. ;)

                    No.

As much as I’d like a 7th season, I feel that Wolves’ win last week has given them the momentum to get at least 4 pts and probably 6 from their last 2 games.

Playing tomorrow could be a huge advantage for both sides. On the flip side, if Wolves, Blackpool & Blackburn all pick up 3 pts today, it could be the biggest Wake seen in Wigan.

yes or no answer only?
Please don’t credit these morons with being “fans”.
The word “fan” is short for fanatical with this being the definition;-

“surpassing what is normal or accepted in enthusiasm for or belief in something; excessively or unusually dedicated or devoted”

Now ask yourselves, are these fans of Wigan Athletic Football Club?. :naughty:

then make your bold claims about being a better supporter than one who doesnt buy in to the crap served up by martinez or the defensive smokescreen thrown up by his supporters.

When have I ever said that? Grow up.

I’ll tell you what, you support the team in whatever way you see fit and I’ll do likewise.

I find it incredible that so-called supporters can’t wait for the club to be relegated just so they can jibe and say “we told you so”. As if those of us who do support Martinez and what he his trying to do actually never thought there was a chance we might go down in the process.
Here, here Griff.

All that I ask now is that if and its a fekin big if now, but if we stop up LMB does not show his face on here again. :snooty:
That shyte version of a great song that he has childishly penned [does anyone know how old this feker is?], has confirmed what a lot of us on here have thought for a while.

                          LMB= COMPLETE AND UTTER

I think it would have to be a huge u-turn even by Whelan’s standards to back-track on his constant statements that Martinez is safe even if we get relegated.

Think he’s here for a while yet.

Couldnt agree more, all the managers who have had a massive vote of confidence from their chairman and board have never been sacked.

only two games left and people from wigan have woke up, shame its taken so long

Those who got Stoke tickets are season ticket holders so are already ‘awake’.

I had no chance of being anywhere near the ticket office/phone/PC today so feel very short changed at the lack of vision/foresight displayed by the club in what could be the biggest game since Sheff Utd.
