What a journey!Your top striker, best defensive midfielder and your best creative/ attacking midfielder are left on the bench? Simple answer… what you deserve…another two points at home thrown away.I thought our defensive midfielder Shaun McDonald was MOM, he tackled everyone 4 times including the ref at one point.
Grigg was carrying a knock according to GB and they didn’t want to risk him with there being three games in a week.As the game progressed Nick Powell created enough chances to win 3 games and that header???? HTF did he miss that!! :woohoo:
One again another fan has shown that he is superb at picking a team……after the 90 mins is up. Post check app 5:30pm. B)

What a journey! You don’t have to look at Leeds Utd in this debate, lets look at our own club. Young DS has almost given away the season tickets for this season for nowt, despite it being a better league with better clubs blah, blah, blah, than last year.
We have played the likes of Wolves, QPR and Birmingham at home, not Scunthorpe, Rochdale or Shrewsbury.
What impact has this had on season ticket sales / attendances? The argument that some people are putting forward here means we should be filling our sections of the DW every home game, we are not.
Less than a tenner per game and still only getting a home crowd around the 10,000 mark, similar to what we got in the last few months of last season once we looked like a promotion side.If we do get on a winning run again like last season, watch how miraculously some fans start to fork out the dabs to follow latics on the road. Like I said, its easy following a winning team.
By the way does anyone know when the Leeds tickets go on sale?

What a journey!Guess ya gotta draw the line somewhere. Am sure Vince will decide if footballs not for him! Last season was pretty entertaining but last season in championship and this one so far has been bloody dire!So in other words it’s OK to pay good money when the team is playing well and winning, but not so when they are struggling and fighting relegation?
Perhaps the FA can introduce a scheme whereby you get in through the turnstiles into the ground for nowt and leave it to the fans to pay what they think was value for money on the way out.
e.g. Play crap, get beat 3-0 drop a tenner in the box, play great just edge a 3-2 win, put £25 in the box. It’s always harder to support a losing team, just look at our crowds, but in my opinion it sorts the stalwarts out from the casual fans [nothing against these fans at all by the way]
IMHO cost only plays a very small part in deciding what catagory you put yourself in.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Leeds average about 20k home supporters so they are one of the better supported teams in the efl so gate receipts won’t be a problem or will they?
I also don’t see many big names in that squad so again the wage bill will hardly be a crippling one surely ?
I have a simple policy with away games if the price is above 25 quid I won’t go end of as I don’t think the standard of football is worth it.
Football isn’t like a concert it the theatre you are not guaranteed entertainment and also always annoys me when they try to charge similar prices.
Don’t go and hopefully young dave and jj will return the favour to them next May with similar prices .I suggest football is not for you then. You cannot guarantee great football at any match. Some days its good, some days its awful, other days its brilliant. That’s what football is and will always be whichever team you follow.
How the hell can you willingly pay 25 dabs to watch YOUR team play then not go cos its 26 dabs.I just can’t get my head round that!

What a journey!Aye. Especially when there’s not one class player on the pitch!I tell you what was on the pitch today that I saw, the team I proudly support. Class players they might not be, but wear the Latics colours they did. Well done boys, great gritty performance. :cheer:

What a journey!Unfortunately we as a Club cannot do anything about. We, like all Clubs, publish prices at the beginning of the season and we have to stick to them. The argument is that outside the Premier League, gate receipts are much bigger percentage of the clubs income. So prices have to be in line with operating costs.
Leeds, having been outside the Premier League for so long still have high costs and not many ways to get the cash in to cover them.
Reasonable arguments are no good on here Jayt, some fans can’t look past the extra dollars.
I don’t agree with it one bit, but fully understand the reasoning behind it.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! No matter what anyone thinks, any extra charge for people paying on the day whether home or away fans is wrong, it’s just another rip off of fans, and will only help to drive even more fans away. The matchday pricing even at our club is too much as it is without making it even more expensive for a casual fan or a non season ticket holder.
I have to admit, if I wasn’t a season ticket holder even I, who has watched the lads for 50 years would have my reservations at paying £26 for a match.
I am sure with the money in the game these days £20 is enough for non season ticket holders, and it would surely go some way to help generate new fans and get old fans that have turned thier backs on football to return.
It must be worth a try, as the pricing structure for non season ticket holders and pay on the day punters doesn’t look to be working at the moment.
Or perhaps its a cherry for the fans who go to most matches, to buy a ticket in advance, can’t see what the problem is.
Out of interest, how many of you who are aggrieved by this pay extra on the day, are going to the game and paid for your ticket in advance.?
For those who are not going to the game, how many of you are not going because its a fiver extra if you pay on the day?
I really think that some people moan for moaning sake.
Its like me moaning about the price to go and watch a film at the pictures, however, I had no intention of going in the first place.
I stick by what I said, good on Brentford for putting on extra turnstile staff to allow for pay on the day.

What a journey!Cod Chips and Peas at Sharpies chippy used to be £3 a portion if you paid for 23 portions in advance. If you called in and ordered,it was then £12 a portion. Dropping in off the street it then became £14.
Ordering by phone incurred a booking charge of £1-50.
Think that’s why customers stopped going in.Lets be serious about this, the fact that you have to pay £5 extra for paying on the gate will probably stop zero people from going.
If you can be arsed or afford to travel down to London [cost of train , coach or car], pay £4.50 a pint, and pay £8 for a burger and coffee, paying an extra £5 on the door is fek aw in the scheme of things.
IMHO I think we should applaud Brentford football club for giving our fans the chance to see the game if they have not got a ticket. BFC will be forking out for the extra staff to run the pay gates even though they will probably be sitting there scratching their todgers for a couple of hours.
The only losers in this situation when you look at it sensibly, will probably be Brentford Football club. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!JR I was there to witness one of the most drab boring games ever. I find it hard to remember such terrible football as what we were dishing out. Three points though and I suppose that’s all that matters but please this style needs to change. It is shit.I smell a rat..

What a journey!Half time and weve had two shots to Wolves ten but it’s ok cos we’ve had 65℅ possession. Hope this yawnball improves.
Gaz using Will as an excuse for this yawnball game today in the news because it suits him. So what do we see tonight, Will dropped and the same yawnball. It’s shit.Take that size 10 foot out yer gob Donny. Missed a great game if you didn’t go, was you watching yawn ball Emerdale farm?

What a journey!A quick answer to that, the quickest way for the keeper to get the ball up the field is kick the fucker up the park. Failing that a throw out to a deeper midfield player. Keeper should rarely be distributing the ball to any defender at 0-1 down or for that matter at any stage in the game unless it’s for wasting time. Sick to death of football that starts with passing from the back. It’s boring, it’s shit and as never worked at Latics.Does it not? boo hooo, so you are telling me last season was just a dream?? :(
