It’s a trait from the Martinez coaching manual.
I remember getting beat 9-1 by Spurs at White Hart Lane and when Roberto spoke at the post match interview, in his first sentence he said that there were positive that he could take home from the game ! What !!!!!
I couldn’t think of any during a long arduous journey home.

Roberto is a Legend, but didn’t necessarily always say the right thing.

    Good Afternoon Cup Winners,
Just to show that I don’t always disagree with you, I think your comments are spot on today.
Yes, I went to the game and therefore witnessed the whole 97 minutes like yourself.

To add to the discussion: I don’t think Kell Watts is the same player as he was proving to be before his injury. Baba Adeeko, came in for a lot of criticism for their last goal, but to be fair to him, he took a good shove in the back when he failed to win the ball; but as you point out there was still two defenders beyond him who should have dealt with their No 10. Adeeko also put a fair shift in. When you watch their first two goals, I think Sessenong could have done a lot more against their No 10.

We need to shape up for next week !!!!!!!!!!!

Clare,Watts, absolutely shite. If J Smith in front of macmanaman I’m f###### dutch man. Too many away day embarrassments……1st half pitiful….if we went at teams from the off like 2nd half we’d be OK. Sorry but the buck stops at the manager. £25 for that dog shit…..thought Lincoln was wank…..getting no better.

    Did you go Rico ?
    I agree with your observations.
Yes, SM is to blame for me. Give him a massive pitch and a couple of fast wingers and what do we do – pass sideways then backwards and fail to capitalise on the oceans of space available. Penny dropped a little in the second half, but it was too late. It took us 47 mins in the first half to have a meaningful attempt on goal. Think we only crossed the half way line about three times in the first 35 mins.

No plan B in the locker,

Anyway CW, you are easier to wind up than a clockwork train; so I’ll pass one last comment and then put you back in the box.

If we do get a draw on the night, you’ll probably claim that Danson and his Utd buddies had it rigged so that we could share the spoils of greed

Sold out to the Mancs

Overheard Gary Neville in his restaurant at the Stock Exchange this lunch time.

Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out, when you read the rubbish that you have written

in reply to: Cup tickets #201538

I’ll be at Port Vale, Reading, Doncaster & Barnsley as well !

    Get In :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

10:05 am and got my ticket online.
Apparently, Preston & Chorley post codes get first dibs :-) :-) :-)

in reply to: Cup tickets #201533

So how do you know that United were given first dibs in the corporate lounge ?
Once again no evidence, just fake bullshit !

in reply to: Cup tickets #201524

So how do you know that CW ?
Do you work in the Commercial Dept; do they interrogate every client who books a table and ask him and their guests to declare which team they will be supporting; or are you just guessing and stirring up the dirt ! Fake news and views if you ask me.
At the match yesterday, virtually all the fans that I spoke to weren’t really bothered about the ticket allocation and the most disappointing aspects were centred around the match being on Monday night at 20:15pm; and the lack of prior consultation with the fans groups before launching the ticket news.

Anyway, the club can put right the “wrongs” in the next round

in reply to: Cup tickets #201512

I think Mr B & CW are being over dramatic.
At the end of last season you were only too happy that we still had our beloved club to follow in the football league. Quit moaning and enjoy the ride; you might just live longer

in reply to: Cup tickets #201511

Do I recall Sunderland being given the entire East Stand on Mr Whelan’s watch ?

in reply to: Charging Derby £30 #201510

Initial 3012 allocation of tickets now sold out at the bargain price of £30

Humble pie for CW

in reply to: Cup tickets #201480

    Fellas, it’s only a game !
I can remember games when our fans were bleating that we should allocate the East stand to the away contingent, so make your bloody minds up.
Our Wigan casuals have no cause to moan, since they only cherry pick the occasional game. I bet that we don’t even sell our full allocation of “home” tickets; that will be the only embarrassment on the night !

in reply to: Cup tickets #201476

Better still, only £20 :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

That’s what I call repayment for loyalty from that famous day at Maine Road 2/1/1971.

    Happy days.
