Even that brilliant photograph cheered me up no end.
What a great team that was !!!
Bring those glorious days back again !!!

Funny how Stanley Choi is in the local paper today basically saying it’s a bad idea to invest in Wigan Athletic just as we are about to be taken over ,coincidence or more skullduggery ?

Aye, Pollard has probably penned the article and is yanking Choy’s chain.

OK, MK Dons apart; there are lots of our home games when the pitch hasn’t helped a style of play that demands accurate passing to well timed runs and we have resorted to hit and hope. Last night our passing accuracy was much better on a more predictable surface and we got lots of balls into our wide runners.

Actually the pitch against MK Dons was better than it has been for the last three months.

Thought Robinson & Johnston combined well, to take care of the left side of defence.

On my second bottle of Guia Real Rioja, already !
Felt like another FA Cup win today !

    Even Massey contributed.
Can’t afford to leave Johnston out of the team.
Robinson could be the new Bainsey.

13 to go, let’s do it and flook the EFL ( Mmm this Rioja is damn good !)

Think you are wrong Adam; just watched it about ten times and he went down like a sack of spuds with three Latics players around him and no chance of creating a chance ! Bloody Cheats !

    Fuming after that.

Not at the players who were superb, but at the official. He clearly saw Ferguson as the manager and got confused.

Aye, Peterborough were falling over like a bunch of skittles !!!

Fantastic news, I might actually sleep tonight.

Can’t help but think this is part of LostockHallLatic’s deal to restock his wine cellar :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

To celebrate tonight I bought a Spanish Rioja.
Somebody had stuck some cork in the top instead of the usual screw top!!
Who knew about these new fangled inventions?
Luckily I’ve managed to get it open ;) :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I think it was the Spanish who invented “the cork”, Phil

So who are the new investors ? the rumour buzzing around is an ex Liverpool player blonds German looked like a scruffy tvvat all the time

Dutchman and ex Liverpool player Dirk Kuyt, his name is being banded around, probably a load of bollocks but you never know, something about a Feyenoord connection and one of our latest signings is on loan from them. (George Johnstone) ;-)

He and several other football associates were interested in bidding for Bolton before they dropped into League 2; so who knows :good: :good: :good:

The dark clouds are gathering, I’m afraid.

    That’s being optimistic LHL….
The club’s now on life support, which the administrators have said in as many words they will turn off on 1st September unless contracts are signed by then.

Nevermind “Let’s Hang On”, we have well and truly been hung out to dry by every flooker going ! I am so angry; probably like the majority of the Latics fans.

Tonight’s tipple is a few bottles of Doom Bar !

    Gutted !

in reply to: Friday Update #190866

Your wine updates are far better

Tonight’s tipple is by the producer Donato Anguili, a nice Negroamaro from the Puglia region of Italy. This is now my stock cellar wine, which helps me to transcend the agony of our current crisis (Covid & Latics).

As an interesting note: all French wine (or anything French, for that matter) is banned from Lostock Hall Towers, as a “hands on” protest against that imbecile Macron; who forgets the Country that liberated the frogs from a dictatorship. Don’t need French cheese, apples, wine or cars. Oh La La !

Well, Kuykt was part of a footballing consortium that were going to bid for Bolton before they ended up in Div 2. So who knows, could be true, could be good :good: :good: :good:
