    Great post Vince.
Say what you see and your spot on with all your observations.

Always liked that aspect of the game, when defenders are capable of running & making up ground with the ball; and I look at our defenders on Saturday, and yes they have the requisite skills if only Shaun would let them be more adventurous.

I agree; say what you see !
Over the many years I’ve been a very positive & optimistic supporter (not a happy clapper), but now I’m getting tired of this possession strategy which relies upon putting one of your single figure clear cut chances in the net and not really having a plan B if we are finding it difficult.
Sick of hearing Shaun say “they made it difficult for us”. Of course they bloody did; do you expect them to roll over while we tickle their stomach ! His job as Manager is to have that plan B, to try and break through these stubborn sides; and that’s what we haven’t had in the past few seasons.

Stop turning football into an exact science !

So what are we expecting in today’s game ?

Me, I’m not confident at all and can imagine Exeter teaching us a lesson; and then Maloney saying that they are an experienced / well organised side. Then to rub salt in our wound, Josh Maggenis get’s the winner :-( :-( :-(

My goodness CW, by the timing of your post it looks like you have just woken up from a nightmare; only to realise that this is now the reality. I agree with you entirely and this could also be my last ST. The Club has never felt so low :-( :-( :-(
And if Andy Burnham introduces the ULEZ zone that will be the last bleeding straw, because the boundary is on Langtree brow / Standish and I’m not paying any more for the privilege of watching my lifelong football team. The end is nigh !

Glad you 3 guys have the same views on this game as myself.
I was scared to post first, in case I got railroaded by the Happy Clappers.
Some below average performances for me today, including Weir who was a shadow of last week.
Need to pull their socks up for Tuesday & Saturday !!!

Your spot on about the corners. For once we looked dangerous when Luke hit the corners right into the mixer. Definitely beats tippy tappy, take three passes from a corner then pass backwards. On some occasions from corners we’ve managed to pass back as far as Sam Tickle. We’ve also wasted free kicks in the same manner.
SM must have had an epiphany moment after reading some of our posts
Well, keep reading Shaun; just because we sit in the stands doesn’t mean that our observations & ideas aren’t valid.

In which case, you should celebrate with a cheeky bottle of: Calera Jensen Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

A wine foe every occasion

I’m certain you are correct CW.
Foo king depressing; isn’t it; especially after supporting the Latics for most of my lifetime (and now the year are ticking away fast ).

Yep, right now I’d swop Shaun for Bruce; don’t think he would be a philosopher of the tippy-tappy let’s walk and pass game.

    Spot on CW.
It’s so depressing and I feel that if it wasn’t for the sentimental attachment to Shaun Maloney as a Latics player the fans would have had his head on a spike by now.
Sadly, I have no faith in Shaun’s ability to admit that his strategy is not working and to get stuck in and play proper football. In conclusion it’s time to wave goodbye :bye: :bye: :bye:

Bloody hell Mr B, I think you were reading my mind whilst we were both typing
