Think we’ll probably be as per Brentford and rightly so. Of the 8 new signings I reckon only Bruce, Obertan and Bogle will feature in the near future, the rest seem to be long term young potential. Big worry for me though is only two strikers in squad, one injury and were goosed.
You forgot Tunnicliffe
It’s also impossible for the human eye to watch for a ball being kicked and a line of players 30yds apart especially when that line moves in two different directions.
It’s only sky’s freeze frame highlighting this now.
I’ve never officiated at a football match, but I understood that the technique is to watch the line and listen for the sound of the ball being kicked, having a split second before seen that the kick is on. I don’t know how feasible that is, but that is what I was once told.
Interesting that but even the time it takes the brain to register sound and the eyes to react whilst a line of players cross still makes this impossible.
Having said all that from my seat in the west stand I’ve seen some feckin useless pillocks

Not so sure about that but see were your coming from, thought we were crying out for him in second half, they had so much space behind but Grigg and Jacobs lacked the pace to exploit it
One of the best saves I’ve seen at the DW today, thought he was at fault for the goal but having seen it again that was a bit harsh.
Burn hasn’t improved he’s been good all year just that people still cant forget his first few dodgy games. Consistently one of our better players.
Agreed, tbh saw the team thought it a bit too defensive but what do I know. Getting punched on the nose each game would still be less painful than the first half to be fair.
Whatever happened to twenty’s plenty?
The problem is though is if/when we get relegated whose the ideal striker well need in league one. Selling because we don’t think he can play at this level may not be the best idea.
I reckon if we played players in their best positions it might just click. Wildshutt on the left, Grigg up front, with Powell playing off him and Jacobs, or preferably someone better on the right.
Widshutt and A N Other can swap wings if necessary to mix it up a bit.
Don’t be silly horc playing players in there correct position. That would never work.
I can’t really see how we supposedly set up for draw when you have a starting line up including Jacobs Wildschutt Powell Jacobs Gomez and Grigg.Takes some tactical genius to include all those and avoid having a shot at goal.
I don’t believe the players are as bad as some think. Some other manager would surely get a better return from them.
Dear me, 40, what happened ?
I know its said every time news like this breaks but does really put our moans and gripes with football into perspective doesn’t it?
See Burton won at Rotherham, possibly due to Clough not talking in the press about making do with the players he’s got. i.e Calling them all sh!te!
When they appointed him I remember thinking what a shocking appointment he’d be gone before the end of the year..or was that someone else?
Right back
2 new centre halves
A big powerful centre midfielder
Striker (Kone on loan be good)I’d also send all the loanees back and try and recall ours
