Trouble is imo there are 2 teams in Wigan, support split 50/50.
Your Bolton’s-Burnley-Blackburn etc 1team hence larger support and that’s a fact no one consider’s.

Think the balance could shift to the rugby in a big way. They could secure top spot this evening, have a good coach and big players signed for next season.
    Latics are the opposite.

It will be fine for my needs. I’ll keep my usual seat, and some of the morons who have appeared in the last few seasons might go away.

And you can then go back to Wigan RL/Man City/Swansea board again.

    What???

and I think the latics could well go down. Best start planning for the Championship and no fans, perhaps we could play at Orrell?

Orrell RU should be playing at Edge Hall Road, Orrell – end of story.
It’s just that the DW will be way to big for our needs when we go down.

I also think we will go down, lets not be fooled by the burnley result,
Agreed, it’s better to be realistic.

Will tomorrows Evening Post have Wigan Athletic or Wigan Worriers on the front page? May be better just waiting for thobserver. ;)

The Warriors game will generate more interest in the town than any tics match this year. Just the way it is.

Not the slightest hint of a hope of a chance of this happening!

Relegated and a slow slip down the leagues.

OUTCOME: You should be thanking Whelan for giving you Wigan Athletic to fill your obviously pathetic excistence with the ammunition to spend a large proportion of your day sat at your PC posting the same thread several time a day.

and will be here for many years after him.
Only in a non league way.

It is sad to say, but unless Wigan get their act together they wil end up in the Championship, and as I see it they will find it very difficult to get back into the Premier League. Why waste the opportunity when you have got it? We are a Premier League Club and let us do all that we can to survive. It looks as if things are going to be difficult, at present we are just not good enough, something is wrong somewhere. The problem needs to be addressed. Good players are just not performing. Why? Crowds are bad, the club needs to ask why. I work hard to pay for my season ticket and away match tickets and when I see the quality of football that I have seen this sesaon it is obvious why Latics crowds are poor. You can’t blame the fans who walked off at Blackpool for doing so. The last thing I wasnt is relegation, I am Latics through and through, I have Latics blood in my veins, and if we are relegated I will still be there. Yes, we are probably the worst supported team in the Premier League and Wigan Athletic need to act now and encourage as many as possible to come along for the next match and cheer the lads on to the win that will kick start the season. Lets not be known as woeful Wigan.

Take care, you’ll be called a rugby supporter!

The future is the Championship, or lower!

I’m surprised that you understand the concept of relagation.
Why would that be less likely than you discovering the concept of reality?
I don’t support rugby but don’t bury my head in the sand either.

You can’t force a sport on a town that mainly doesn’t want it. The town has spoken, Dave knows this.

Trouble is i dont think the town wants thugby either, 11,000 season tickets sold aint good, and couldnt sell there semi final tickets speaks volumes, and even whelan dumped the thugby and gave latics the ground, so ill say it again its about time the people of wigan started supporting there town instead of jumping up and down in a pub watching other teams, i wouldnt say supporting because there not really doing that in a pub, sad but true.
Who mentioned rugby? I didn’t. Loads of things are wrong at the latics as we all know. Another sport is not one of them.

Latics will find their own level soon and it’s not in the prem.

Big name player won’t come just like latics couldn’t keep the better players in the past. It’s all over.
