I admit I thought these owners were the real deal…..wrong again.!!!
In all seriousness you need an owner like Mike Ashley -someone who from day one will tell the chief exec that the club is to live within its means by whatever means necessary.
Won’t happen don’t worry. He didn’t want to buy it for £2m he isn’t buying it now.
It would look quite nice with all red seats though.
It’d look even better with no seats behind the goals so fans can stand.
Jasmi to sell club asset to pay wages
Looks like might be ground
If true its away games only for meWhich will result in the football club receiving less income and having to further rely on an owner to fund the shortfall.

So glad you got all that off your chest. Now, welcome back to reality.
Spot on cup winners we are fucked et muttyis loving this if we go under let’s hope bulldozer comes in and flattens the stadium rather than let the twats get hold of it
Sorry to disappoint you chap, but unlike you, I want every sporting club in Wigan to do well.
If you did Mutty you would support Wigan Athletic.
So by that logic, you are saying that every supporter of another football club is dancing a jig of joy at this situation, and you also danced a jig of joy at the plight of Derby & Bury? Plenty of football fans around the UK will want a good outcome here, which doesnt involve liquidation.
Maybe me wishing well for all areas of my home town make me more of a Wiganer than you.
But what happens if the owner then splits the club and the stadium (as the current, previous and whelan) did, and liquidates the club?
By forcing someone to buy something they have no interest in, it would make that more likely. The stadium is an expensive white elephant at the moment to whoever owns it. It was a vanity project – too big, and barely sustainable even when 15-20,000 fans showed up each week to premier league football and superleague. Now the premier league money has gone and the crowds have halved, the costs have increased.
Did I mention lack of rent ?
My apologies Phoenix – I meant “you” as members of the collective anti-warriors group, rather than “you” the individual.
If we go tits up that ground will be 100% purchased by Wigan Warriors make no mistake about that .
1. Its a white elephant. A big white elephant that is 33% too big. And a costly one at that.
2. So what if they do purchase it.
3. Not owning the stadium might be the best option – it seems you are constantly blaming your financial woes on the lack of rent.Spot on cup winners we are fucked et muttyis loving this if we go under let’s hope bulldozer comes in and flattens the stadium rather than let the twats get hold of it

Guess the Gate Competition 2022/23
As soon as I can find out the attendance for tonight’s game, I will up date everything
At the moment, I wouldnt believe whatever they put out as the official attendance Horc.
Unless, of course it was between 11,410 and 11,804.
11498
So, is the general opinion that the Chairman is an incompetent fuckwit out of his depth, or a lying piece of shit?
The figures required are not huge in business terms but we must keep hold of our key assets the stadium ,training ground etc. I think as fans ,at least initially ,we need to lower our expectations and be thankful we will still have a team to watch even if it is at Division One or Two level.
£7.7m loss is huge on the turnover. It will need someone with no interest in getting a return from their investment for a long time to come in and buy the club, and those type of people are very hard to find. The talk last time was someone would need to burn through £19m to steady the ship before they could even think about which direction the club goes.
In business, the first loss is generally the best one to take. These chancers have come along and thought they could flip it for a profit with a few pen emoji tweets, a sharp-suited chief exec and bugger all else. The only good thing to come out of this shit show is that it will cost them a shit load of money, and probably make Brannigan a persona non grata in the footballing world.
Nothing to do with the war in Ukraine then ? This economic crisis was not caused by Brexit voters.
I never mentioned the economic crisis.
The shortages in the care/hospitality sector, the unpicked rotting food in fields and the shortage of tanker drivers and butchers all happened before Putin’s invasion, but after “Brexit got done”. All of which have been attributed to a lack of migrant workers to do the jobs. Step forward unemployed UK citizens to get off your arses and pick fruit for 12 hours a day….
Is this the same Gary Lineker that has provided accommodation to refugees and supported multiple charities going back to 1992 when his son was diagnosed with leukaemia?
If you want to vent your anger, perhaps look at those fat, idle, unemployed Brexit voters who complain that there’s no food on the shelves in supermarkets, no petrol in the pumps, no carers for their relatives.
