“Anyone know what pub the Millwall boys drink in? Planning an ambush before the game. Fire. Chairs. Bats. Madness.
They’ll be drinking in a pub somewhere near Port Vale that day. In case you weren’t aware, 3rd division clubs still have fixtures on international weekends.
Back on topic, this is a move that has just about alienated all Warriors fans from the chairman. As egg says, its all about sponsorship and the fans have been firmly placed in the category of 2nd class citizens as IL goes courting a few quid from rich businessmen whilst sticking two fingers up to the 10,000 who shell out over £200 per year for their seat.
I live closer to the Den than the DW, but there isn’t a cat in hells chance that I will go to this fixture, and I hope everyone else does the same, leaving a big hole in IL’s pocket.
I hear this is going to be the pre-match tune for the 2015-16 soccer season at the DW:
I wonder if Mr Moss might have a flutter on relegation at 18-1.
Well thanks for that dog I often wonder which sad fecker with an Obsessive compulsive disorder would look back over the years merely trying to prove a point  :lol:Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition where a person has obsessive thoughts and compulsive activity.
An obsession is an unwanted and unpleasant thought, image or urge that repeatedly enters a person’s mind, causing feelings of anxiety, disgust or unease.
A compulsion is a repetitive behaviour or mental act that someone feels they need to carry out to try to temporarily relieve the unpleasant feelings brought on by the obsessive thought.guffaw
Split or multiple personality is also a mental issue. One of the symptoms is creating several online ID’s then having a conversation with yourself.
I havnt really any gripes with Sunderland but how long will it be before the likes of Sunderland have to live within their means. Wages these days do not relate to gate receipts but to other money from Sky, Sugar Daddies or raised through share issues or further debt. How long clubs like Sunderland can sustain their debt whilst struggling along perennially near the bottom yet paying huge wages, who knows? but at some stage the debtors(and Sunderland are moderately well off at 93 million in debt)will pull the plug, call it in or take measures(just like Whelan did)and then we will see the inevitable happen to them. (relegation and selling all the big earners)
So Mutts it is only a matter of time before Sunderland will be in the poo and the moans will be heard around Wearside as far up the valley as Killhope. The debt is owed to the owner, Ellis Short, who is a billionaire.
That said, unlike the billionares at Man City & Chelsea, he doesnt run the club as a tax-deductable plaything, and whilst he has pumped millions in, its nowhere near the amount. They dont pay huge wages, which is why they dont attract the merceneries like Sterling. Personally, Im glad they dont, as the likes of City & Chelsea are in for a huge shock when their owners decide to play with a new favourite toy.
Questions for MWDHow long before the first mass sulk at the stadium
Of crybabies ?
How long before dick gets sacked?
how long since Blunderland last won a major trophy?1. Supporters are already unhappy at the lack of quality (again) brought in this close season.
2. He wont get sacked. He’s only on a 1 year deal.
3. 42 years. The other non-british players in WBA’s team managed to show respect for the National Anthem.
Per Mertesaker & Mezzut Ozil managed to show respect for the British National Anthem at the last two FA Cup Finals. As did Tevez, Aguero, Zabaletta etc at City’s last two cup finals.
This terrorist sympathiser is an embarrassment to his club, their fans and the premier league. It’ll not be long before WBA peddle him. He really needs to go to Celtic if he wishes to persue a career in the UK.
Incorrect (as usual).
Pompey won the cup in 2008 and played in the 2013-14 FA Cup first round. That’s 4.5 years, or 54 months, by my reckoning.
Not sure why Sunderland fans keep coming on here to slag our club off as we are now two divisions apart although we may be playing each other again next year. Thanks for reminding everyone of that. Some on here were convinced that it would be a fixture in the 2015/16 season ;)
I suppose there’s always a cup match to dream of this season – if you can see off the mighty shakers and whoever you draw in rounds 1 & 2 of the FA Cup.
Speaking of the FA Cup, when was the last time a club was forced to take part in an FA Cup tie in the November, within 30 months of lifting the trophy?
Wigan Athletic Football Club could have an address on Pluto Donny and still pay the same amount they pay now.
To reiterate…The owners of the DW stadium pay the business rates, not the tenants.
Wigan Athletic Holdings, Whelco, or whatever they are called these days own the stadium, so they pay the business rates.
As far as I’m aware, neither Wigan Athletic Football Club nor Wigan Warriors own the DW, so neither would pay the business rates. They pay rent to use the stadium.
The confusion (and headlines) arise because the owners of Wigan Athletic Holdings and Wigan Athletic Football Club happen to be the same person.
Congratulations on remaining unbeaten against the 111th and 109th best sides in England.
hmmm that was said on wigan today by yourselfIs that the site that you haven’t visited for 12 months?
When a landlord receives an unexpected rise in expenditure then the landlord must up the rent of the establishment if the tenant can’t afford the rise in rent then the tenant may have to look for alternative accommodation
Sadly not.
A landlord can increase the rent if they wish to after the initial fixed period, providing:
•The tenancy agreement contains information on the procedure for a rent increase
•The landlord gives the tenant the required notice of the intended rent increase
•The landlord provides the tenant with written notice that a change will be made to the terms of the tenancy agreementLandlords are unable to increase the rent before the end of the initial fixed period unless this is stated in the tenancy agreement, or both the tenant and landlord agree to the increase in rent.
Interesting though that when the 2005-2010 business rates were calculated (based on 2003 income), there wasnt a peep from the Laftics in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 when they received premiership income and paid 3rd division rates.
Looks like you are stuck with the rugby and a very large bill. Now pay up or they’ll put a winding up order on you, and you’ll end up like Portsmouth, only without the fan base.
https://www.gov.uk/renting-business-property-tenant-responsibilities
Landlord is responsible for all aspects of H&S in public areas and the business rates would be covered separately in the T&C of the lease.
As there appears to be no story about the Warriors kicking off over the cost of business rates, I must assume that the landlord is either fully or mostly responsible for this headline figure.
Im sure the issue will crop up when the tenancy agreement comes round for renewal in approx. 50 years time.
So if we owe half a million then the eggs must owe the same.I doubt it as they dont own the DW. They just have a very long lease to play there.
Being a landlord aint all its cracked up to be eh? ;)
