So what have I got for 42 years loyal support??
THE BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD in my eyes and a club that owes me nothing but has given me everything.
I dont think we have a problem with the Germans we probably envy their ability to succeed whereas we always fail miserably. I think we actually respect each other yes we joke and take the rip but theres no real malice meant. Same goes for the Argies as well we have a rivalry with them as well but we respect them also . ;)
Yet they lost against Serbia and looked ordinary for large parts of both games against us and the Argies. They certainly have the knack somehow
Alcaraz and now Boselli, well im excited about it at least we are trying to improve the squad. We can only improve with new faces so lets give them time to prove to us how good or bad they are at least.
Capello is at fault for the fact he played players out of position but what he had no control over was the ego,s of some of our supposed superstars. Gerrard hates playing on the left and decided he wasnt gonna play there. This exposed Ashley Cole and stopped him making his usual raids down the flanks simply because Gerrard was everywhere on the pitch except where he should have been. Lumpard wants a ball of his own and Rooney has serious issues with dicipline. These problems need to be dealt with if these players are to be permanent fixtures in the side. I doubt any foreign manager can sort out these ego,s except maybe Louis Van Gaal so it was suprise me if Beckham could manage it. We need a strong British manager with the balls to stand up to big time Charlies and make them play the way the manager wants. As you can tell I aint got over Sunday yet :evil: :evil: :evil:
Griff, your spot on about the Germans and thats why this defeat is hard to take. Even the team we mullered 5-1 in Munich would beat the present side. I think they will be showed up against the Argies tho i may be wrong. I dont think the Lumpard goal would have made the slightest difference whatsoever before and after the incident our defending was shambolic and it was a matter of how many the sausage eaters would score. What i find really disturbing is the fact that in the four games played how many players that figured could we say really tried really wanted it as much as us the fans?. David James cannot be critisised how many more can say that.
Spot on Abram and even if Terry was on the right instead of his preferred left he should still be good enough and fast enough to do a damn sight better than he did. Upson got in on one tackle he made v Slovenia coz he was crap for the rest of that game as well and as for Johnson all i can say is bring back Gary Neville. It was a horror show and the lot of them should just shut the f..k up coz i personally dont want to hear their pathetic lame excuses.
so it was the refs fault we gave the worst performance by an England team in living memory. It wasnt down to Terry,Upson and Johnson who looked like they had never played the game before. It wasnt due to the fact that Gerrard, Lumpard Barry and Milner played so close together we had no shape or width.Or that Rooney looked like he just couldnt care less. It was the dissallowed goal that cost us. mmmmmmmmm
We can blame many things to cover up this shambles, the goal that never was, the ball, the formation ,the manager but in the cold light of day our finest talent somehow managed to inflict our heaviest ever world cup defeat against probably the worst German team we have ever faced. The message to Rooney,Gerrard,Lumpard and co is THE ONLY THING WORLD CLASS ABOUT ENGLAND IS THE SUPPORTERS not you bunch of egotistic useless cretins.
