The last time the football was as boring as this was when John Benson was in charge and we went 40 of games unbeaten…. Mainly due to draws.

Cant understand the ‘Not going again/Giving up my ticket’ type of attitude. Maybe its cos Ive watched my team for too many years and I must be crackers but the ups and downs are part of supporting a club. Watched before during and will watch Latics after Rosler because that’s what we do.I have been watching Wigan for 20 years and have been a season ticket holder since the jjb was born. I have known ups and downs and been home and away all over the country. I was at the DW last night watching the beam back.
I have never known a manager to change the team as much as Rosler and play so much boring football. I love Wigan team but have had enough going week in and week out watching this dross. Thought he had learnt something against Derby but that was a false hope. I would gladly put my ticket on hold until rosler either goes or starts picking a settled team. He’s had enough time and his true colours are shining through.rosler out…. Please
Fully agree with the original post. A better all round performance that must have installed more confidence in the player.
That said I was disappointed with a couple of things last night. Firstly what the hell were all the free kicks about. Our players going towards the box only for us to knock a short one to our defender then back to Carson. (frustrating)
Secondly why did we not keep at least one player up the field when they had a corner or free kick? On numerous occasions we cleared the ball long and no one to fight for the ball.
Apart from those minor point gotta say it’s a step in the right direction .Up the tics
This thread wasn’t meant as an anti Rosler post. I do think that Rosler is the right manager. What I don’t like is the way he tried to turn what was a poor performance (all be it the conditions didn’t help) into something it wasn’t. If he thinks that’s our best away performance then we must have been proper dog in all the other ones.
I don’t want Rosler falling into the bullshit comments that ultimately got Coyle the sack and turned fans against him with poor performances that in his opinion were good.Rant over

It seems to me that these players that are just”half decent” this season were OK last season.
maybe it’s because Coyle doesnt know how to play them or his style doesn’t suit their paying.
I can believe that Jean , mcmannaman, Espinoza, Holt, fortune,McArthur have all just become bad players?the only constant is the manager and his style.
Coyle has no idea how to use the assets he has.
Jean tore England apart and is out on the bench cause he’s not one of Coyles boys.
Espinoza again plays for his country and again not a Coyle player.
The new left back Garcia….fit and good enough for his country but not for wigan?And his numpty Coyle instead plays the inept McCann the one trip McLean and a slow donkey left back in Crainey.
If I was in this situation I too would want to leave.
