No i’m not one who shows when we’ve lost. We’ve done plenty of that already this season.
So JR, you think we did well creating 6 or 7 ‘guilt edged chances’ (debatable) with all the possession and play we had? Honestly? Against Bradford (and no disrespect intended there)?
“Jones was superb and at the centre of everything good tonight”. Get real.
David Jones ! Are you having a laugh. Absolutely clueless. Got within 25 yards of their goal and either lost it or gave it away cheaply. He was appalling.
That game tonight was a mirror image of the last 20 minutes of the game at Swansea the other week. 98% possession with not one clue what to do with it.
Yes we should have finished better, most notably Boselli and Gomez, but the fact is we didn’t. Yes we had 20-odd shots, but should have 60+ given the possession we had.
We cannot break teams down when teams sit back and concentrating on defending. It is very very frustrating.
I fancy us to do one more piece of business before the night is out.
There have been small rumours of Zaha from Palace which i’ve seen on a few websites which i’d be happy with. Any other thoughts on this lad?
Anyone heard any other rumours?
74…ran out of time as well. Think key to it is, is work from bottom to top cos i wasted god knows how much time scrolling up and down!
Chile – Beausejour
Cameroon – Olembe
Hungary – Gabor Bukran (would this one count??)
Japan – Miyaichi (seen as your already counting Kone)I’m also sure we had a Slovenian lad under Jewell but just cant think of his name
I have a weird feeling he’ll be unveiled at the game on Sunday and may even play 45 minutes for each side. Bit like Ali did in the game against Oman.
I remember 2 being scored in the same game by Preston in a 3-3 draw back in 98/99ish at Springfield Park being ones that have always stuck in my mind (more so than the Henry one you’re on about)Andy Liddell scored an 18 yard overhead kick in the same game
I think the game you’re on about against Preston at Springfield park finished 1 – 1. Liddell scored a cracking overhead but David Eyres scored an even better first time volley from the corner of the penalty area.
Albert Adomah
R.I.P Flight Lieutenant Adam Sanders
17/22 on Champs League
42/45 on Premier League (Barnsley, Oldham and Watford cost me !)
We all know wht rumours can be like but i’ve heard it from a few now and just wondered if anyone on here had heard ‘owt.
But, if they are right then i think they are belters to be honest.
I have to say the thought of going to Parkhead (or Celtic Park whichever you prefer) to watch Latics run out there does tickle my fancy !
Craig Gordan – back-up for Ali (pay as play deal with his injuries)
Carlos Cuellar – back-up for Boyce. Plus can play centre half seen as Gohouri is being released.
Michael Owen – same as point 1 really (about the injury thing!) but still probably a bit ambitious for us
Keith Andrews – again to add a bit more competition.
The rest for me, are either not good enough or wouldn’t sign for us in a month of sundays.
Thanks a lot pal.
You got a PM yourself.
I thank you…
Yeah i do agree that Boycey has been one of the unsung hero’s in the latter part of the season and we did miss him badly over the xmas period when he wasn’t available.
However, if you read my post back, i did make reference to the fact that it looks like Stam is on the way out, leaving well, no-one, as viable competition for Boyce.
Granted, i am guessing that Boyce’ performance levels will drop. I hope they dont. But he’s not exactly getting any younger and will be expected to play week in – week out. Thats not counting any possible injuries or suspensions he may pick up.
Again referring to my last post, and more specifically the second paragraph, Faubert would add good competition and more importanly stength in depth, to our right side.
