I’m paid up.
Do us the honours please Jayt.
Interestingly it says Ferrie Bodde is out of contract.
I know he’s a crock but we did have a 4 million bid rejected before his knee exploded again.
Wonder if Bobby takes a risk on him.Would definately have a stab at Petrov and Pedersen.
We have the added bonus of the above players not having to relocate as well.Ben Watson out of contract so if a club wants him like West Ham as a replacement for Scott Parker we’re struggling. I don’t think Pederson would come & out of interest where would he play ?
Are you sure Ben Watson is out of contract dont seem like he’s been here 18 months
It looks like this list is compiled of players who are currently on a loan contract as well, hence why Ben Watson is on the list. He obviously returned to Wigan before the end of the season but my guess is the forget to take him off the list. I reckon he has at least another year left yet.
Sephton, I would play Pedersen out left with Rodallega in his rightful position through the middle. Or even in support role like he played against us at Ewood Park where he won MOM and scored a screamer. But like i have accepted, these signings are probably too ambitious.
Not sure about that but i cant believe Pedersen would be more than our current crop of top earners.
I agree Petrov may be strectching it, but if we are going to do what is rumoured, and shed a load of the wage bill on players who dont get a look in (i.e de Ridder, Kapo, Koumas etc) then we may be able to.
Dont forget we’ll save a transfer fee as well.
But i’m probably being too ambitious. Leon Britton it is then.Would definately have a stab at Petrov and Pedersen.
We have the added bonus of the above players not having to relocate as well.Aye for me
Call me crazy but why doesnt the Premier League enforce a maximum salary cap of £25,000 (for instance) per week, per player.
Then if clubs, who are self sustainable (on an honest income), and not dependable on wealthy owners, then the figure should be revised.
Obviously that would isolate the so called lesser teams from the ‘big four’ or maybe even a few more as it has now become but you wouldn’t have clubs going to the wall like most seem to be doing.
It would also make the transfer market a bit more competitive, as clubs now regularly beat other clubs to players merely on the fact that they pay ridiculous wages, when they cant afford to do so, in an attempt to get success early.
Yes, i know we suffer but tell me how this would actually change for us. I cant see us paying too many of our current crop above that £25,000 (i may be wrong, i dont know) and we dont blow millions on transfer fee’s. We merely cut to our cloth because we are on a low income budget. Whatever your opinions are of Whelan, he has had this spot on all along. Yes, we may have got lucky on a couple of occasions by staying in the league but its due to his business sense mixed with good fortune (and some bloody good bargains).
But surely, if the league does adopt a similar appraoch i can only see the division becoming more competitive, which is what all the proper fans really want.
Its not a massive overhaul but more transparency from clubs regarding their financial situations. We would never beat a club like, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea to a player but on the flip side of it, we would stand a bloody good chance competing with others in the division that are enforced with the salary cap, much like ourselves.Dont be slating Jason Scotland.
jrfatfan will have you….
Like i said Columbo, i for one am not a multi-poster.
Maybe you wont get the powers that be check for you and maybe you think i’m calling your bluff.
But, your wrong on this one. There probably is a few out there though.
I aint no multi-poster mate.
Check with the powers that be if you must. Good effort anyway.3 February 2010 at 2:40 am in reply to: THE REEL ‘EM IN THREAD FOR ALL THE “HE HAS TO GO” BRIGADE #21108HAHA
You forgot to add on the end of your post
….”by the way i’m only posting this so i can get everyone to respond with either ‘well said’ or ‘here here’ or ‘spot on mi owd mucker’.”
lets look at the clues shall we peywet?. you joined in july last year and have posted a grand total of 22 posts. if that is not the mark of the multi poster then i do not know what is. over 60 since last august owd git puts you in that bracket as well? ;)Aye and up until toneet i hadn’t even broke the 20 posts barrier. I must be on a roll.
I just dont dedicate all of my spare time on here like some do. ;)
By using the phrase “bunch of tools” then i can only presume that you include me in that particular “bunch”.
At what point in my post did ask for Martinez to go?
And in answer to your question, yes i bl00dy well am disappointed about the result tonight. Did i expect us to win the FA Cup? No. Did i even expect us to get past Fulham in the next round? No.
But to lose a cup game at home to a team three divisions below, when putting out more-or-less your full strength side is awful.
Just change that fecking formation.
Playing one up at home to Notts County is beyond a joke, and that one striker i may hasten to add is Jason Scotland. (cue Jrfatman telling us just how good he was at getting into the positions!!)
We’ve got to start going with two strikers and for f**ks sake, start defending set pieces.

Translate that one. Thats where i’m reading its a disagreement between the two clubs.
