…or just give City the East Stand and only have the problem of shifting 16,000 tickets.
It’ll probably get a few thousand of the missing glory hunters off their arses and to the DW too.
Put the flags away Sharpy and sell out the DW!
Those flags hide a lot of seats too, which take up about 20% of the Boston stand. As DNR says, there was hardly anyone in the South either – that’s about 6K out of 20,000 before you start looking at the gaps within the crowd and at the ends of the Boston and Springy Stands that are always empty.
That said, 10K paying home fans is better than some on here were expecting.
How many of those 8000 where arsed with the six cup games we have played at home this season so far?vNone of those games have involved cancelling a pre-planned home league fixture at the DW though, whereas this one does.
Season ticket holders will almost certainly make sure they are available for pretty much every home game that is covered by their ST, or else they wouldn’t buy one. Not everyone can re-plan their lives at 8 days notice because we got a draw at Bournemouth or Fylde.
Like it or not, some people have lives and cannot drop everything because of an unplanned home fixture.Well is it shit really? That depends how you look at it. 10,000 is a big ask for usThe game is taking place on a date/time when we were scheduled to be at home anyway, so the 8000 ST holders would have been planning their Saturday afternoon at the DW. I don’t think it unreasonable for another 2000 made up of premier league glory hunters, or Championship fair-weather fans to show up for one game this season.
Did you not chat to them before or after the game?
No I wasnt there so couldn’t chat with them before or after the game.
Your point is?[/quote]That message board posters often have a different view of the game due to not seeing the game live. Possibly whatever you read on a Plymouth fans messageboard was a few keyboard warriors who don’t go to games giving their opinion based on local text feed or local radio commentary that is usually quite biased towards the home side.
Did you not chat to them before or after the game?
Getting to the next round will help boost the coffers in terms of sponsorship and ticket sales – 5000 guaranteed from West Ham. Hopefully some of our not-so-die-hard fans will turn up. They were expecting to be at the DW that weekend anyway for the visit of Oxford, so there’s no excuse not to turn up for the visit of West Ham.
£10 a ticket and lets fill the ground for once. Maybe even tempt some of the premier league glory hunters back?
Mate of mine who is a Rovers fan refuses to believe that Jack Walker’s money bought them their Prem title, talk about being in denial !Some of our fans refuse to believe that Dave Whelan’s money bought us a place in the Premier League.
Graham Alexandra ex Dingle too. Used to come on and score pens. Will Grigg must be the first player to ever have a song sung for his bench-warming exploits during Euro 2016.
He’s got a stadium named after him and a statue outside the stadium that is named after him. I don’t see anyone playing professional anything at the Nick Clegg Arena.
Why would he need an honour?
You seem to have got lost. Allow me to redirect you to the correct area:
We need to get used to sides parking the bus at the DW – after all we are the Man City of League 1
Its a race for 2nd spot now, so Shrewsbury will feel good about taking 4 points from their two matches with us – I doubt many will equal or better that haul.
Ps. Coldest I’ve been at a game for a long time. And no way there was 8806 on. A lot of ST holders probably gave it a miss. Can’t blame people with the weather, really.Strange you should say that – it means there were almost 1000 non season ticket holders attending this game than the one two months ago against Southend, where the attendance (inc ST holders was 8133). I wasn’t aware of any special deal to tempt people from their cosy houses and Wish FM!
If it bothers you that much, get there early, or camp out the night before!
