cant see any stripes http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/page/ClubN … 93,00.html
It depends what you want to watch really, if you like rugby u will watch rugby, if you like football you will go to the dw knowing you are going to see some world class internationals, and maybe your small club will ruffle some feathers along the way, We as wigan supporters have to be realistic, I dont expect us to win any silverware but i do expect us to compete, but you just never know what might happen, for example 20 years ago i didnt expect us to be in the top flight and be in a 25000 seater stadium. ;)
erm because you support them, and you must relise we cant afford to keep hold of our best players with the crowds we get in, but if we have supporters like you thinking of jumping ship when we are in the top flight, well you have answered your question, We need to build our support to have any chance of keeping our players, for example if you was a player would you rather run out in front of 38000 home fans or 12000  by the the way the rugby have always won things esp in the 90s and when we were in lower half of the leagues selling players as well, so nothing as really changed for latics supporters.
So was nzogbia, heskey and al habsi b4 they came to wigan :shhh:
Just like to say who gives a shit, and this is a football chat site and not for minority, ps did the klumps get to the final today if so well done.
But its a boring thugby town, :liar:
Biggest myth in the country that wigan is a thugby town, just need to look at every one wearing different football shirts and the amount of people who support different football teams in the town, we need to sell zoggy for transfer funds, also he wont sign another contract so we cant afford to give him away.
If usual standards is selling thousands of seats en-masse to a corporate then I feel for you. Uncle Dave will be no more soon, and how will you survive then with little or no income, huge expenditure and thousands of empty seats?Sounds like good business to me – Its just a bigger version of “3 for £12”, “2 for £20” or “BOGOF”, which I seem to remember being offered.
Maybe they should follow the lead of the blue third and give them away – it even appears freebies were around for the West Ham game.
We survived without whelan before and will survive when he as gone, you lot nearly went out of business when you were top of your game, so god only knows what would happen to you if you slumped down the leagues, (which cant happen no relegation in the pointless league) and without having your own ground, I think you should be more worried esp if our new owners didnt give a damn about a very small northern sport.
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7607(No doubt the Mods will come along soon and erase all reference to the Latics ever having given out free tickets)
On the field, usual standards are still there – we won 38-6 yesterday to hit the top of the league, just in case you missed it.
And about 3,000 made the trip to London.
Not forgetting the cheer leaders
