What a bizarre set of random comments they were. I’m completely bemused as to the point you were trying to make.

Let’s just take this fairly easy one:

i want what is best for the club i have supported since i was 5 years old

Just out of interest, what is that exactly? Try to respond with something other than “sacking Martinez”
i want to see us play football or even see us give some effort and at least try a passing game or long ball stuff i dont care – just entertain us and yes win the odd game, and make it hard to turn down a 20 min drive to blackburn and cheap ticket -instead of choosing a 700 mile weekend drive -because i dont enjoy going any more(call me a bad supporter if you like but my season ticket sits in a draw semi used)
people can say what they want about the ‘bad old days of swain/bates and the like but it was never as boring as now.

and to answer the question you have asked the only thing that would give me any hope for the future is the sacking of martinez.
spot on, we go the game to be entertained not to be bored,

I never wanted martinez in the first place and believe he was given the job for all the wrong reasons and everything he has done since has proved worse than what ever i expected,
whelan knows all this its all part of his down – sizing strategy of his involvment in wafc whelan and the comments he made a few weeks ago re:- if martinez goes so he will as well, confirmed to most his future plans well before he made them public.

And this makes no sense at all. If Whelan is looking to sell the club, he needs it to retain the highest possible value. Why would he therefore appoint a manager he thought was bobbins, who would take us down, therefore reducing that value spectacularly?
Thats why if we lose our next two games, im afraid it could be the end for martinez, whelan needs this club in the prem to get the best deal for him and his family, just my opinion,

When was last away game you went too then ?

I’ve not heard them sing build a bonfire until recently so it’s the new brigade who’s singing it same as country roads.

          At least they are singing,

The club will be bought by someone, Its been coming since whelan handed over the dw to the latics, my only concern would be ticket prices, and the lodgers should be concerned of a rent rise, maybe thats why they are looking for land for a new ground,

We will not stay in this league with these tactics, we need 442, bosselli came here with a great reputation struggles up front on his own, di santos struggles up front on his own, rodellega struggles on the wing not his position, he plays up front struggles again on his own, we will not score enough goals with the tactics we are playing and we will concede a lot because the forwards sorry forward cant keep hold of the ball long enough for the midfield to get up and support, Martinez as got to stop being stubborn and change his style, lets face it we played against lower opposition in the cup and really did struggle, instead of having a look at another style of play he kept the same tactics, I think we have the players but need the right tactics, whats the point of having all these strikers only to play one up front.

Thought we would have had a decent turnout tonight, but with the south stand still being closed and the unreserved seating in the east stand, the tickets sales must not have been that good.

Got a feeling this could be a great night of football, people have been saying they want a run in the cup at the fans forum and on this message board last season and when we do have a decent run, no one turns up. People forget we will be in the quarter final if we win tonight.

If you haven’t got a ticket, get down to the ground and buy tonight on the door!

i think just over 50% of our fan base turning up is ok in the carling cup against swansea, lets not get carried away with swansea hype because of martinez,
