Lose next week & it might be curtains for joyce.
Ranieri in!!!!
I’ll plait shit whilst bareing my arse in Burtons window if that happens.
end of day after today im no longer arsed ill save my money ;)
Just what we need. Fans getting behind the club. It sadly cant always be about promotions & winning cups, sometimes football serves up dross. Yes today was absolute dross. But we still need to get behind them.
Runcorn i have seen it all good and bad also good and bad management oh the bill kenyon years they where bad
Whelan years upto winning the fa cup where great but what happened after the cup win an alarming decline in standard of players and manager._.As if job done won the cup ill now wind the club down slowly ._but thats how i see it
Financialy totally agree on a sound footing._but as a spectator at present not worth paying to watch when you pay for something i expect something back in return not shyte._._.How many shots on goal today ?
Bicky, so you were there then during the kenyon days & i presume the kenny swain days, which IMO was the worst football by a wigan team ever. Then you have seen some dross like myself. However, we are both still here. Why! Because we support this club. We love this club. And we will still be here in years to come. Hopefully with much more exciting football to watch.

Yes Nuneaton Tic. Strange because it works and is interesting to watch.Didn’t we play 442 at rotheram donny.
The 451, 433 or whatever you want to call it, can just be as exciting as the good old 442, IF used correctly. Which, we are not doing at the moment.
Nothing less than a win for me on saturday. Lose or draw & if results go against us, it will be harder to get out of the mire.
When we first escaped the bottom 3 some time ago, that to me, was the time we should have been looking at clawing ourselves away.
Said it for a while ._.We need a fresh start with new owners the whelans have done their bit too be proud off
But thats behind us now._.Under this current regime have we had our most relegations if we go down this year._and all because of incompetent management by selling our best and replacing with shyte
Thing is who would buy us ? Thats the bottom line nobody would where fxxxxd and stuck with failed fish fryerAs much as you take the piss and call Sharpe ‘Chippy Boy’, ‘Fish Fryer’ or whatever other chip-shop related jibe you can think of, his family bailed the club out of the mire, and he and JJ are keeping it relatively self-sufficient.
Nobody other than a millionaire Wiganer would invest in us because we’re not an attractive proposition.
I’m happy that I have a local football club to support, and if that’s in League One, then so be it.
Here here, standish. I dont want us to go down, but if we do, i’ll still be there (work permitting).
Anyway, according to the super computer forecaster thingy, it will be burton & bristol city to go down with us finishing 4th from bottom. A position i would have been happy with at the start of this season.
Someone please ask joyce why is he so negative & doesn’t at least try to go for it.
Even when playing two up front, or two centre forwards, depending on how you look at it, the manager gets slated.
The Preston back 4 were superb today and hence chances were at a premium. Does that not come into the equation?
IMO jr, preston were not that good yesterday & with perhaps a bit more positivity, we could have won that game. It seems to me (& i’m not slating joyce), his style is one of avoiding defeat.

Totally agree with egg….Joyce frightened to death of going for win and jeopardising his 1 point .As some have stated before his negativity will see us in league 1.I thought we were crap…no threat. Some decent defensive efforts but as an attacking unit ????Not according to joyce. He told WISH FM on my drive back home, that he goes out to win every game.
We need wins!!!
Which is why i was very surprised at the substitutions joyce made. To me it seemed he was content with avoiding defeat, as opposed to trying to go for a win.
Agree though with most. A good game & a throwback to the olden days of derbies. First time i’ve seen bogle & gilkes & was impressed with both.
My dad picking me up from wolverhampton during my uni days. It was either xmas or easter holidays. Driving back down the M6, we were followed by macclesfield fans (who had probably spotted the latics stuff on my dads back window) & they followed us in the hope we would take them to springfield park. But we were going home to unpack my stuff & they followed us back to our house in winstanley.
Playing chelsea in the league cup. Our 4 – 2 win in the early 80’s. Remember mark wignall lobbing the keeper. My dad shouted “you idiot, you idiyesssssssssssss”
Can’t remember what the event was, but there was a penalty competition where fans were invited to take 3 penalties against roy tunks. It was 1987 i think.
Jason roberts actually handing me his “kick racism out of football’ t-shirt in the game before newcastle (i think).
Roberts and Ellington partnership. I remember vividly how vulnerable playing two up top made our midfield and how dull the football was Al.
I bet Nuneaton detested that football too.Donny, as much as your post made me chuckle – this isn’t the thread for the 2 up top argument.
