Alot of the original posters are gone nowadays… Not that I keep a list or would consider myself on that list by a long shot.
However I think if everything that was said wasnt turned into an anti-martinez rant it would be a good step towards being able to have a reasonable discussion without the need for petty sniping.
The utter dross and dribble spouted on here by certain people has for the first time caused my emergence from the message board lurking curtain and throw my pennys worth in.
I was happy lurking and hopefully one day when my own dribble is less interesting than the majority of dribble on here I can go back to being a happy lurker….
Just wondering what the criteria for being a proper fan was. Just because Filmoss didn’t go back in the day does not make him any less a fan. We as a club need to increase our fan base and newer fans JCL’s should be encouraged. Or would you rather we went back to 2300 proper fans who saw the really bad times blah blah blah???He didnt say a fan he said a supporter.

We climed a place in the leage at the weekend, in the last 2 months we have only lost 1 in 6. Players seem to be playing with confidence….

Dont forget we are 3 points better off on avoiding relegation than we were at this point last season…
If Liverpool beat QPR and we get something out of that game (which if we put in a performance like the last 2 games I can see no reason why not) we will be well on are away to acheiving our aim.

Now I am not saying that is wrong but if you are going to cut your cloth accordingly in the PL a division that survives purely from money and greed then you are not going to survive ! I keep getting told by other posters that its been a dream ride and it cant last forever and to stop moaning and so I have decided to give in re PL ambitions and wait and see what the Championship has to offer but I aint holding my breath !!To sit there and criticise Dave Whelan (which is exactly what you are doing) for not pouring more dead cash into the club is quite frankly laughable….

Thing is with Boselli we will have recouped money in loan fee’s still have a fairly valuable asset and Roberto said in the fans forum that he will be back next season…

However a quick flash back allows us to compare this Boselli “tradgedy” to a £5million striker in the name of Marlon King of whom we would of paid VERY high wages and recouped nothing from him except a load of bad press.

I know the reason was because he wanted assurances that if Wigan were relegated his pay would remain the same.At the 11th hour he was informed that the club insisted on a 25% pay cut if this should happen.Why should he sign for a team that through no fault of his were looking likely to drop and be expected to be penalized financially .If the club wanted him a reasonable request like that should have been readily accepted.He would have been an excellent acquisition for our championship charge should we have gone down.I can assure you that thes eare the facts but I am not at liberty to reveal how I know this.Get your head out of your arse Brownball’s..
That is sensible business practice to ensure the long term stability of this football club.
The alternative of course is paying Joey Barton 70k a week to play in the Championship as QPR may well be doing next season!
OR even Hull paying Jimmy Bullard 50K a week to play in the Championship.
