Same back 3 as the Newcastle game. TBH I would play the same side.
Same here mate.
The only worry is Mcmanaman is carrying a knock.
The problem with that is I cant see Martinez keeping Maloney and Kone as they are and then putting someone on the right side.
I think Di Santo may get a start in the middle with Kone on the right of the three forwards
I’d take getting to the final, losing the final and staying up over winning the cup and going down. This would be my ideal scenario too short of winning the cup and staying up.
Putting that aside my heart says win the FA cup and my head says stay in the PL.
I like Scharner he talks a good talk.
Scharner told the Wigan Evening Post: “I wouldn’t like to put a figure on it, but my own target is to play for a few more years yet.
“Where that will be, I don’t know.
“But it’s not the right time to be speaking about my future, to be honest.
“I am totally focused on the matches between now and the end of the season, and nothing else. Of course I am very happy here at Wigan, but let’s get the next 11 matches out of the way before we talk about the other stuff.
“I am enjoying playing 90 minutes every week, staying in the starting XI, and as long as that continues I will be happy.”
Win FA cup and go down if i had to choose
how long would it take us to get back up though? and would whelan sell up
He offered to give the club away to anyone willing to invest £100 million into the club so I doubt he will be able to sell at all if we go down.
Looks like the Whelans are stuck with us for now :cheer:
Caldwell is taking alot of flack from the jocks and for me with Alcaraz hitting the ground running I wouldnt pick him over Scharner Alcaraz or Figz.
I know Scharner wants back to Hamburg at the end of the season but news from their side was they would be happy to release him.
Definatley worth a 1 year contract IMO.
Although I think the likely outcome is that we will be in for 1 or 2 centre backs in the summer with Scharner , Alcaraz and Figz all possibly heading out of Wigan :(
They may be happy to release him, but it was actually Scharner that said he only wants to come here on loan, help us survive, then go back to Hamburg. I believe it was because his family etc are happy there. So I cannot see him coming here/staying here after this season. Even if Hamburg are happy to release him if he is happy there he will just sign for another club in the same league surely?? Hope I am wrong though ;)
Also where is Alcaraz supposedly heading??
He’s out of contract at end of season so probably west ham along with everyone else :(
Scholes was born in Salford too but don’t think he lived here long.
Giggs after moving from Wales went to primary and secondary school in Salford and still lives here now in his big mansion in Worsley.
He was also granted the freedom of Salford a few years back.
I think he took this the wrong way when he started shagging everything in sight.
And I was born in Zambia, but I sure as hell aint a Zambian!Giggs is a *Salfordian, through and through.
I think it would be harsh leaving him out now.
Maloney, Kone and Macca have been brilliant together.
I’m starting to get the impression you dont like Rugby Dave …
Who is “Rugby Dave”, and why doesn’t he like him? ;)
And continue to ignore the success or failure of Wigan Athletic, because they really really dont care.
You obviously care as you are on here enough.
If you were really not that bothered you would leave SDW to have his day on here.
I’m starting to get the impression you dont like Rugby Dave …
Is he back on our board after his short stint at Preston FC?
Because they asked for an interview, did you see it? ;)
I missed the ‘t’I think that puts you easily in the top 3 most famous Wigan Athletic fans :)
Obviously the fella who won Stars in your eyes years ago leads that race but you might just beat the steward who used to take his teeth out when we scored at Springfield Park to 2nd place.
The “fella” who won stars in your eyes was a plastic MUFC fan who supported latics when it suited his agenda.
I haven’t followed his career since after “come on you latics” if im being honest.
Used to see him in the south stand in division 2 days all the time though.

In fact I will throw that question back at you.
Are you Dave from skem?
You seem to know 50% of my private messaging history and write in a very similar style with the RANDOM block capital words.
Rumbled.
I only know what I see and read on here, and 2 people have accused you of sending them private messages, which I find rather strange as to why there is a need to PM someone directly – love heart or not.
Nope it was only Yosser who mentioned anything.
Try harder next time Dave.
I think the over all losing your head when anyone offers something different to what you are saying is the biggest giveaway.
And dont tell me what I sent to you/ABL was threatening you know full well it was said in jest and if you want to start throwing stones when you live in a glass house I can always post your reply excluding your seat number (im not that cruel) on here to be another chapter in Daves great meltdowns.
I urge you to post anything you care to do so that has arisen from your ‘private conversations’ as they have nothing to do with me whatsoever.
This thread is the first time, and might I add the last time, I have ever had any form of contact with you, probably because in all my time reading, and limited time posting on Cockney Latic, I find you to be the most aggressive, reactionary, pointless, least humorous poster of all, even DFS/ABL has his novelty factor, you my friend don’t even aspire to his level, as this whole thread and your “karma score” shows.
While we getting on so well would you like me to pencil you in for a place on my mates coach?
Who knows you may even get to share the back seat with Dave and his alias’s
Water off a ducks back pal.
I am aware I anger more than my fair share of posters on this forum as usually the posters with the more shall we say “well reasoned views” cant be arsed with the premature dummy spitting that gets spouted on here constantly.
I give it as a good as I get it and if that upsets you in such a place as an internet forum I really dont know how you manage to make it through life.
And no thanks for the coach booking I’ll be getting the train
