We can only speculate as to what he requested but we do know Whelan turned him down.
Do we…..????
To be fair no we don’t and that is a glaring assumption on my behalf.
Sammy – I am all for people discussing past players & managers etc. but hoping the guy fails is pathetic.
I hope any one who is of that opinion loses their jobs under the same rationality.
Lets not be forgetting that what we were told was Roberto wanted to stay but needed a few things from Whelan to ensure he got us back up at the first time of asking.

Hardly Judas is he.
My scouse workmate came into work today very displeased indeed. He actually asked me if “Arouna Kone” was Swahili for “fucking useless”
Priceless :)
I would love to have Kone back but I think he would be worse off than Holt for picking up balls out of the air.

Did the referee make a glaring error last season? Yes. McManaman was lucky – the FA were unable to review the decision. They have now changed the rules.
Did the referee at Bournemouth make a glaring error? No. Both you and Coyle insist that McManaman won the ball – but don’t understand that it’s irrelevant.
I am at a loss to debate with someone who ignores everything I say and then argues with points I never made!
Good day to you we*are*goingtobarnsley
I tried Galactic but I think its about time someone pointed out the small town mentality of people rambling on about other clubs instead of their own.
I am completely alien to the concept that Martinez owed any allegiance to this club.
I work for a small company and if we started making less money and the gaffer said to me “you have been absolutely brilliant for us constantly punching above your weight and that’s why we want you to stay and take a pay cut. By the way we will be selling your nice computer and desk and swapping it with a less expensive model and you wont be getting that new office we promised you” I would be off in a heart beat.
And to be perfectly honest he would have been better off staying at Swansea in the first place.
The usual scapegoat is the referee. Coyle has already wrongly criticised the referee who dismissed McManaman, promising to appeal against the decision. Fortunately, wiser counsel prevailed.
Who made you judge, jury and executioner of refereeing decisions?
He was sent off on a point of opinion i.e that he had used excessive force in his tackle.
Anyone with half a brain can see he used the necessary force to make the tackle causing no danger to the other player and if you think its excessive or dangerous I would make the argument you are a bit soft.
The reason Coyle didn’t appeal is because red cards are only rescinded if there is a glaring error made in the decision.
So while the FA and the referee may have turned around and said after seeing the reply that it was a good tackle and didn’t deserve a red card but probably a yellow card at most as it could be judged as being a bit wreckless there is nothing they can do to overturn it.
But obviously you know best having googled the subject once and are now the cockney latic authority on all FA related matters.
youll feel a right prat when you read all that back and try to put into the context of what WGTB actually said.
you must have googled the word prat and are now the cockneylatic authority on all things prattish.
Its from a previous discussion that I should have probably let lie.
In my opinion the referee would look back at that and say a yellow card was probably all that was needed as it could be deemed a bit wreckless in todays soft arse game.
I honestly think he didn’t know how much of the ball Mcmanman took and was boyd by the ridiculous over reaction by their players.
But that decision will always be a matter of opinion which is why there is no real recourse to appeal it.
Not as black and white as Barnsley believes it to be.
And that is the last I will say on the subject now as it has the potential to become as tiring as the tedious Rugby and Martinez posts.
What has Kris Boyd got to do with it ? If you did in fact intend to write ‘Buoyed’ then I am afraid to inform you that your use of that word would have been used out of context and made no sense ! Are you saying that he was kept afloat by their players or that they raised his spirits and inspired him ? Just saying ! ;)
PS Overreaction is one word ! Just saying ! ;)
I have never claimed to be a master of the English language.
You could say its lazy as I usually try to take the time to check things over but in between posting on here I do have to look like I am getting at least some work done.
Thank you for your input and I am looking forward to scrutinising your posts in the future.
Touchy touchy ! ha ha ha ;)
Funnily enough I have enrolled at college to go on a Thursday evening and resit my English GCSE a decade after sitting it the first time.
Getting corrected by a window cleaner was the last straw ;)
